Players who tried out Nuka-World on Tour while it was on the Public Test Server are aware that we originally planned to release a new system that combats illegal attachment combinations to weapons that violate the EULA. Fallout 1st members will receive a new membership feature: the Ammo Storage Box! The Ammo Storage Box works similarly to the Scrap Box already included with your Fallout 1st membership, offering unlimited space to store all your excess munitions, with the exception of Plasma Core and Fusion Cores.

They are, but as they optimize things they're expanding the loot capacity.
STASH is also used for other weapons/armor you use in other builds, and everything in your Vending Machine takes up STASH space.

Looting: Learning plans for certain weapons and armor now allows them to appear in loot.
So now you'll be able to loot Legendary Secret Service armor pieces, etc. as long as you know the plans.
Melee: The Cultist Dagger and Bowie Knife can now be modded.

There is a potential path towards diplomacy with the factions to come to some sort of peace.
With you as director of the Institute, you can do anything.
Policy changes to allow the synths freedom would appease the Railroad, and turn off the synth factories and not make any more.
The Minutemen have no beef with the Institute with you as their leader.
Minutemen working from above to maintain order and general prosperity, and Institute from below to push the limits of science, all for a better tomorrow.
Since the S.R.B. would no longer be needed they could eventually merge with the Minutemen becoming the Minutemen Special Forces. The Minutemen would basically become the military arm of the Institute with you as leader of both.
The Railroad would likely disappear completely if you made changes to give the synths freedom, or become some form of organization to help synths adjust to their new world.
The BoS is likely the only problem, since lets face it, they're basically Enclave-lite in Fo4.
The Brotherhood would likely be unwilling to negotiate at all as long as Maxon stayed in charge unless he was replaced by a synth at some point or a new more reasonable leader took his place.

Not really. The division heads make it clear that they think Father made a mistake in bringing you into the Institute and giving you any authority. But they can't go against him without risking the other members turning against them.
Once Father is dead, that threat is gone. The second you do something that is unpopular, they're going to throw your ass out.

It's one of those things that no one can find a source for, but everyone believes was taught. Regardless, it doesn't work. Partly because you have no idea how powerful the bomb was, and that's going to affect the size of the detonation. But more importantly, if you can see the detonation you're already fucked.

I gots a theory about one specific weapon in Fallout 4
I think the laser musket was originally going to function like a less passive version of New Vegas' recharger rifle
There's no place to actually load in ammunition
You're literally charging your shot with that crank
It doesn't do a lot of damage
It's primarily used by a faction of essentially poor farmers who wouldn't have the money for all those cells
I think it was originally a gun that you cranked the charge on without the need for consuming ammo
But then Bethesda decided at the last minute to make it use cells for balance reasons, since it's one of the first guns you'll get
At the very least, making the gun a recharger rifle would make it actually worth something
A good backup gun for if you run out of ammo

I think that has been soft confirmed from talking to devs, but I could be misremembering that. Also, it is 100% in character bonkers Bethesda logic to nerf the laser musket into niche use because of early game availability while also providing a suit of power armor and a minigun in the same tutorial. They ended up nerfing the minigun into uselessness for the same reason.

Laser musket is basically the only laser weapon I ever find myself using, because the high crank varieties boost the damage high enough to punch past the extreme resistances that enemies get. It serves as a functional, if slow and not at all stealthy sniper rifle.
But the lower crank versions just aren't worth it.

Yeah, most people do a build with craptons of damage reduction as your health goes down, which means you're basically a tank if you keep your health low. But one good hit and you're splattered.

Big, BIG changes coming. Lots of little QoL stuff, but my favorite bits:
- Players can now choose to start at Level 20. This gives them starter weapons, ammo, armor, perk packs, various survival supplies, and pre-filled loadouts.
- We’ve placed a donation box outside of Vault 76 for players to help one another.
- **Lowered the frequency of enemy attacks on the player’s C.A.M.P. ** (thank Celestia)
- The bugs have been exterminated, and mysterious construction has begun at the Gilman Lumber Mill.
- Legendary creatures no longer mutate at 50% Health to have Health regeneration, but instead have 60% increased Health.
- Daily Ops rewards prioritize giving un-learned recipe rewards to players. Once all recipes are learned, players will start getting repeats.
- The Carnivore Mutation now works with the Cannibal perk.
- Fixed an issue causing combat groups to persist over long distances, keeping the player in combat.

I have to say that I only started the series with fallout 4, but I loved it even though I never played all of it. (If I take more then 4 steps off the road to get something I get helplessly lost in the giant open world.)
The next game I played was 76. I never really understood all the hate that the game got because I liked it. But playing alone in a world with other players just get's really boring after 50 - 60-ish hours of playing.

Yeah, I also did that and made some new friends. But most stopped playing and we only knew each other through the game so we never really knew when the other person would come online. So it kind of broke down to being solo again after a while.

I do suspect that the lower level one will involve similar weapons, a few changes to stats/perks, and abusing a few exp items (that you can make/grow) to help get you to the point of the above video.
But the idea is to just grind that area versus grinding the board (unless you want to do that too or it helps with the above).

From what I've seen, best thing is to do your dailies/weeklies, and then just grind WesTek the rest of your time.
Helps if you boost your INT as much as possible, and get any XP boosting items, the rest is just making it as quick & painless as you can.

When you're first starting out, prioritize doing your quests. You'll get a lot of XP and items from that. But don't be afraid to explore, poke around, you'll sometimes find hidden stashes of items or quests.
Don't put more than 3 points into Endurance, you don't need any more than that. Luck comes into play later in the game, so it can wait. I'd prioritize Strength and Intelligence for your main stats while starting out, because STR determines how much you can carry + Melee damage, while INT gives you an XP bonus.

For starting out, the 10mm pistol is good enough, and you'll find lots of ammo for it. Oh, there's a "Gift Box" in front of the Vault when you leave, check that for any stuff people have donated.

The slots are available for any character, yes. Improving cards takes some effort, but if you have the cards upgraded, they're ready to go on alts.

That's correct. Any junk you put into the Scrapbox is automatically scrapped into its components, which is why some quest-related items won't automatically go in there when you hit "Deposit All Junk." But once your Fallout 1st sub ends, you can still withdraw anything that's in your Scrapbox / Ammo box, you just can't put new stuff in.
So something like a Sheepsquatch Skull, wont' automatically go in there when you hit the button, but you can put it in yourself and it'll scrap into Bone Shards.

Yknow I kinda want to do a “good natured” legion courier run. Where the courier is initially hostile to the legion, and is generally a good person, but they decide to take up Caesar’s offer in a specific end goal. (That being, the possibility of becoming Caesar’s successor, and the possibility of morphing the Legion into something better because of it)
I thought of this because I heard it’s vaguely implied that Caesar wants you as his prodigy, given you’re an outsider similar to himself, becoming the “Augustus” after Edward’s eventual death
It just sounds cool, and would make a good reason to do a Legion run. Since the “evil” runs are extremely boring

Biggest issue with reform is that it is too reliant on a one-man band to lead it and any pending leadership already in it cares more for their station/self than leading the rambling wreck that is the Legion to be more than football-armored Mongols (minus the horses and ranged weapons).

I'd argue that the higher ups of The Legion are extremely invested in prolonging it's ability to stay afloat, but in the very specific way of prolonging how Caesar ran it

The Leggett, and Vulpes are the two easiest to point to and I highly doubt either would go against the will of Caesar, even if he's dead, and I'm not certain they'd follow the Courier if they go against everything Caesar taught
Maybe the Leggett would stick with the Courier if Caesar left them in charge, but I doubt Vulpes
The Leggett seems loyal to Caesar above all, but Vulpes seems more loyal to the ideology IMO

The thing is, a lot of Caesar’s teachings seem to not be his end goal, which is weird. The slavery thing, and the lack of women’s rights? Those are just a means to an end for him, and eventually he’d end those practices once he feels his goals have been achieved. However as it stands, Caesar’s not going to live forever, and that obvious flaw is going to bite his legacy
Even if he constantly supports the Courier’s more peaceful decisions, his teachings conflict with his real beliefs

I finally learned how to reload dash
I thought you had to use quick saves to do it, which don't exist on console, so I never looked into it
Turns out you can do it with your pipboy
Just double tap the ammo swap button on the .357, and start spamming the pipboy until it opens while you're reloading, then unequip your revolver, hold forward, and exit the pipboy

I don't know why exactly, but Fallout games in particular just are so fun to loot and walk around in. It's not much gameplay mechanics apart from look around, spot item, but it is satisfying to go hunting for scraps and finding things with a little combat on the side.

I made a trading post in cranberry bog, and I'm using the bunker shelter to make the basement into a fancy speakeasy

I'd show WIP pictures but the trading post is almost done, so the only difference would be the sign, which I need to unlock the parts to make easier first
(I'm making the sign with a combination of Greek letters and using the little metal signs as pixels to draw larger letters)
I used no smoking metal signs to draw 65
And with the speak easy, the furnishings are complete, I just need to get enough copper to light the damned thing

I've actually unlocked Solar Armor on my main, but never really messed with it much. This trick with Overeater's is fantastic, and I'll probably see if I can roll that.
The downside is that Solar is always 3-stars and cannot be re-rolled, so it gets expensive to keep making them until you get the pieces you want.
