That is why I just mod it out
It was great and fun for the first thousand hours or so but nowadays I value having control of my character more
From Oblivion this is probably my favourite: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_oBqJdijxY

In Skyrim NPCs practicing their archery get infinite copies of arrows in their inventory, so one exploit you can do is pickpocket them, steal the arrows in their inventory and replace them with the most expensive arrows you can get.
Then you would walk over next to the training dummy and steal the cloned expensive arrows
reminds me of when I would play Halo and give my rocket launcher to the marines to exploit their infinite ammo
The Elder Scrolls 6 should have rocket launchers
I remember having a French PC Gamer magazine talking about Oblivion when it was freshly out
same for Quake 4
i love this stupid game

I fucking aced the fight. How dare you make the second phase harder to parry?
Nine Sols really seems like it should have a triple parry instead of a double one
double?
theres a limit to parries?
not that I know of
oh good, was a bit worried cuz im expecting to start the game soon-ish
there's a few subtle mechanics to discourage spamming the parry button, but no limit to how many legit parries you can do in a row
You stock up to two talismans at a time and must spend them before getting more
So your maximum damage from talisman explosion is two parries
oh you're talking about qi charges, not parries
Those are qi charges? Good, I think I saw you can get more
yeah, the skill tree has a bunch of max qi increases
in fact you being at 2 means you already bought 1
I thought I bought a charm notch
oh lol
I love that partially missing a parry makes it so you can recover your HP as long as you don't get hit
nah the charm notches in this game are "Computing Units" for the Jade system
anyway, I'm fairly sure the parry timing is no harder on phase 2, it "just" adds some new attacks (which are crimson so can't be parried normally, but the big one is also kick-able which is honestly easier than parrying anyway)
kicking is harder than parrying for me because I can't just time it, I have to jump too
ooooh that's interesting, it's easier for me because the timing window for the actual kick is so long
For the parry attacks it's just:
1- Listen to the sound
2- Press the parry button immediately.
oh if you watched me play this you'd laugh at how bad I am at getting that consistent
For the kick attack it's:
1- Look for the visual cue
2- Jump
3- aim at the boss and kick
For me it helps that the parry attacks all have the same sound
they are pretty great with the cues, I'm just fundamentally better at multiple steps than I am at precise steps
it's part of the reason I'm having so much fun with the BossChallengeMod I added to my 9S rando this month; the modifiers give me additional things to worry about, mostly without increasing precision
And I used to play rhythm games so I'm good with timing
makes sense, proper rhythm games (and shmups) end up boring me for much the same reason
rhythm games and timing translation to other games is weird,i find it helping a lot with finding setups for timing parries like [combo] into parry, but raw parries have pretty varied results depending on animation
similar to ghost tapping kinda
No fair, he gets to turn around on a dime and stab me with his spear even though he's quadrupedal AND jumping
Whoever designed this animation was never a centaur
he also gets to stand on the hazard floor unharmed
That one is fair because he has hooves
when he feels like running back and forth faster than I can keep up with him, I usually do parry into talisman (assuming he's doing a non-crimson attack) and then just wait for him to come back to me; the nice thing about him being a centaur is that his body is long so there's plenty of time post-parry to get the talisman off
that might be fewer tries than my first playthrough
||https://i.imgur.com/wmUyIME.png|| This is not what "A blaze of glory" means
Nine sols
I barely used parrying throughout much of the game lmao only til the last bits of the game did I utilize it more bc dodging can only get you so far
it's interesting how differently people adapt to that
the first boss is designed to make parrying way easier than dodging, and in my case it worked exactly as intended (= that's when I started defaulting to parrying stuff), but the super parry you get later on I mostly forgot to use until my second playthrough
and yet I keep hearing stories about people who insisted on beating the first boss without parrying (or without talismans) and continuing to not use that mechanic later on
I need better nicknames than these https://i.imgur.com/E0SbREC.png
a lot of us just call him Garfield
I bought this game primarily because I heard it's a game that makes parrying work as a central mechanic
It took me a bit to understand how talisman worked, wasn't til I got the skill tree thing that made them explode automatically bc I struggled setting them off manually
As the game progressed I did end up using parrying more often ||last few boss battles kinda makes it mandatory
|| but didn't bother with the super parry much bc that's harder for me to pull off and I just end getting bodied when I try but fail
But I do have interest in replaying the game and see how better I fare turn the first run, using the mechanics I underutilized initially
oh yeah, I also jumped on Water Flow as soon as I could unlock it in my first playthrough
then for my second playthrough I made a point of a) using Full Control talismans and b) using super parry as much as possible, partly for variety, but also because with more experience I no longer found them overwhelming
I did use super parrys a lot more often in the ||boss rush mode, specifically Ji bc that's my favorite boss battle|| I sort of have a good grasp on it and did pretty well but it's def something I need to more practice on
(although now that I've piled mods on top I'm overwhelmed and using Water Flow again lol)
oooh interesting choice
for me it's ||Eigong, with Jiequan as a close 2nd|| though that's probably a super boring take
Wouldn't say it's a boring take, in hindsight it was a rly fun battle, I was just too busy fighting for my life lmao
totally fair
They should not have collectible tao fruit in the game
for me ||Ji's fight|| was one of the two Sols that I beat in <5 tries, which I was pretty happy about until I learned that basically everyone had the same experience
(||obv Ji is way harder than the first few Sols, but by the time you get to him he's no big deal compared to the Fengs and Eigong||)
This ruins the concept of Tao
well then you'll love all the cutscenes where Taoists tell each other they suck at Tao
"We beat you to the punch so you can stop developing it now"
Ouch
that's not how i read that at all
It is not how they intended it
It is the twitter-style take on things
Immediately jump to the most evil conclusion
oh lol
"take a break from working on that, you've been at it for a while"
That's cool
my brother in christ what are you shooting at

So, Expedition 33 is receiving critical acclaim and reviewers are saying it's a masterpiece that everyone needs to play. Not a "may not be your cup of tea" in sight, they're saying that everyone needs to play it.

the [artist - topic] channels kinda fit under the same umbrella of "it kinda sucks on discord"
Topic channels are just a mechanism for youtube to present music automatically

This is what it looks like for me on PC. No YouTube Music or different UI that I can see.
Oh for Discord
Yeah, it looks that way on Discord, but it's looked that way for years.
Again, no UI differences or changes.
I think it's the fact that the size of the image used makes the ui so small, they remove a few features such as volume
cus on youtube proper, it's pretty much the same size image, just a little bigger with empty space off to the side to make it fit better in theater mode
then again
I don't work at youtube
so who am I to say?
yeah I think that's just the thumbnail being non-wide for some reason
YT shorts have a very different UI, but even that UI does have a volume control (again if the window's large enough)
Playing Nine Sols some more
Yesterday I handled Goumang. Wouldn't do it that way if I was given the option
Now I seem to be in the creepypasta chapter
the game is pretty linear with boss orders, apart from the very first ones, but for me I did Goumang, then afterwards I fought Garfield, or rather his centaur bot
creepypasta chapter ?
To say any more would be spoilers
also not really meaningful to anyone not playing the game
oh ok
"there's a spooky part" pretty much covers where Flitter's at right now
I did Yingzhao/Kuafu, then Goumang, then ||Yanlao||, which is probably the "most intended" order
spooky spaghetti just made my ears perk up
You might appreciate it: ||As I entered the zone I saw a large machine, usually found near the boss. But there was nothing to interact with, so I moved on. Instead of moving with me, the camera stayed still. And when I moved farther, I showed up at the entrance of the room. After investigating for a bit, blood began to rain from above, and then a few visual effects associated with this sort of thing happened||
First time I’ve heard of it
Interesting, I'll probably play it through game pass
It's basically a modern turn-based Final Fantasy game but set in an alternate version of Earth, where some girl called the Paintress lives on this giant monolith out beyond a vast sea and every year paints a giant glowing number that can be seen from everywhere. Whoever on Earth has the age the same as the number vanishes off the face of the planet. Just before a new number is revealed, an expedition is launched to stop her. None of the expeditions have ever made it to her.

And it's GORGEOUS
https://i.imgur.com/1zof8TJ.png I shouldn't have to do these tutorials
Please just give me the pop-up at the end
the eternal struggle between players who get in one sentence, and players who somehow still don't get it after the forced tutorial sequence
They already have a solution for this and it's called pwruser.cfg in the executable's folder
iirc one of these tutorial sequences has a speedrun trick where the game only checks that you staggered him, and using the bow instead of the new move counts as a stagger
Very cleverly designed room https://i.imgur.com/gmrmnfR.png
a few weeks ago I mapped out what the randomizer's trick logic for this exact jump should be, because it's a particularly fun spot for that
Not the jump
Starting here, you hack the door and come in. As you enter, the door shuts behind you and a tough miniboss spawns.
ah the whole arena
At the end of the room is a little container for you to get more arrows https://i.imgur.com/p5wPciL.png
So why is it there? Because the boss is tough?
No
The door closes because the spikes from screenshot 1 kill the miniboss instantly
So what you can do is shoot the guy to lure him into the spikes without the door closing
I still have no idea what the areas are called yet
To me the miniboss arena above seems like an intentional piece of design that came to be after the developers discovered you can cheese the miniboss
They wanted to make it harder but not impossible to do it
So why is this a key item? ||https://i.imgur.com/k1dlJu3.png||
||https://i.imgur.com/Fagz82X.png|| Come on, let me give the child a knife
dw, you'll find a different sharp object to give him later
I found one earlier
oh I'm probably thinking of a different one
yeah in retrospect Yi trusts him with a lot of dangerous stuff
oh yeah, forwards include embeds and the source channel/date, it's part of why they're a nice feature
(though they really should've included the author name too)
It's probably time to go through the reservoir again just in case
yeah but you can click on the link at the bottom to jump to the original message. And it's cleaner than directly linking the message
we've run into cases where the name would've been nice primarily because the original message was inaccessible (e.g. forwarding out of modchat, or between servers)
but sure it's a small thing
makes sense.
That doesn't work if you have no access to the original message
which sucks, but alas
makes sense
I didn't learn about the laser option until I saw a speedrunner doing it
and at the time it was a fun fight so I'm glad I did it legit anyway
I definitely think the "ninja" enemies with the decoys and odd timing fuck me up more than any other type
(there's a harder version of this miniboss later, so in rando I feel no shame lasering this version lol)
fair warning: one of the hardest-for-most-players lategame minibosses is a ninja with decoys and odd timing
(in fact that's one of the "hard fights" I chose not to do in my last 9S rando session)
I figured. I'm getting better at the timing
Question for the oblivion remake players: is the "let me do that line again" person still in the game?

Ammo Pickup would be great for my no death clears since I could just not care about ammo management and S P R A Y
It looks so good, I can't wait.
I love that this is a JRPG but Western
It's a bit like Dark Souls is a western style RPG but Japanese
Usually when you get takes that cross boundaries that way they come out full of originality
That's great
Hope the world design is interesting. That's something you can't review without playing the game in full
"forget about Freeman" is kind of a badass line when you think about it
I don't know what that is
obligatory 🇫🇷 too 😛
as someone who enjoyed Anachronox (which is also a "JRPG but Western" affair), this sounds interesting
towards the end of "Surface Tension" in Half Life 1, you find a technical map for airstrikes and a radio, and over the radio a marine man is telling the dead guy at the map to forget about Freeman because he's been fucking up the military super bad
Makes sense
I'm in all likelyhood gonna play it through gamepass so it's more of a value add and I'm not committing full price for it.
You play Crystal Project yet?
Especially since I'm not 100% sure my pc would be able to run it well, and I had Game Pass active this month because Blue Prince, might as well
Not yet, I'm interested but it seems to go on sale timed with when I'm busy as fuck
You should just play the demo
The demo save carries over to the full game. No content is removed, and it's ~15 hours long
Good suggestion, Crystal Project is like a middle priority for me right now, but I should keep the demo installed so I can give it a go when the mood strikes
The only hitpoint you need is the last one ||https://i.imgur.com/CXPx4bG.png||
Half Life's incredible but i wish there were subtitles
Seems a little weird to me that they wouldn't retroactively add a subtitle option considering they've definitely touched up the game a few times since release with updates
I wonder if maybe the engine can't handle it, but that seems like a dumb thing to say, I don't suppose it's anything too demanding
well I guess there's an addon for it
I don't know why the embed chose the image of the wise mystical shephard tree instead of the actual addon but here's how it looks, I don't know if my mind is playing tricks on me but for some reason I totally remember half life having subtitles, but maybe I'm mixing up 1 and 2
i dont know why i didn't think of checking the workshop, it's late 🤦♂️ thanks nire
It's one of the absolute best Steam features ever, I mostly remember it exists because I jammed L4D2 and Gmod absolutely full of addons when I played them daily back in the day
You know you're addicted to getting addons when you crash the game because there's just so much custom content loaded at once
I remember paid mods in Workshop.
I bought a few and liked it but boy did the community hated it. Rightly with some concerns.
Still, woulda love to donate to creators.
So , I finished halo 2 (with uncut mod) and all in all it was great , definitely a bit more rougher around the edges compared to combat evolved but still quite good , the new guns and location variety as well as more fast gameplay definitely a nice inclusions and the story is kinda amazing i really enjoyed it , some levels and enemies were a bit.... annoying and some moments are going for a bit longer than they should, but nevertheless its a nice game , can't wait to now play halo 3 cuz it is regarded by many as the best in a series.
Also Arbiter is added to the hall of fame as one of my favourite characters, he is the goat

oh yeah, half the reason 3's so good is they got to redo the good but janky ideas in 2; brutes and scarabs in particular are sooooo much more polished in 3

Half-Life Source and Black Mesa have them, not the OG
(GoldSrc does not have any subtitle system)
adding subtitles to an existing game is a fair amount of work, so I doubt Valve will do it
Some very early details on Subnautica 2 from the devs on the official Discord:
- The Cyclops will not be returning. There will be a big sub, but they didn't want to rehash old content.
- Vehicles upgradeable, no weapons.
- Leviathans will be unkillable. Large predators can be deterred, but not killed. They don't want people bashing things to death with a knife like the last game.
Leviathans were killable in Sub 1?
With a lot of work
TIL
The best way was stasis rifle + thermo blade + about 10 minutes straight of hitting it
It took I think 300 hits of the thermo blade, 600 of the regular survival knife
I've killed leviathans before
Usually by glitching them
The ghost leviathans that spawn in the void are not killable, though

@green fulcrum

Has anyone noticed how absolutely nobody is talking about that Wukong game anymore? It was such a huge thing, but after it got beaten by AstroBot by the Game Awards it just kinda fell off the safe of the Earth.
Other than it being nominated for game of the year I never heard anyone talk about it
the only thing i ever heard about it was that it was popular in the east
Yes, I heard it was very popular in China and Chinese fans were surprised and upset to learn it didn’t win Game of the Year, which came off to me as insular American-type behavior.
(And utterly unsurprising because China would be a country that would display insular American-type behavior once it was rich and strong enough to not be put upon by others)
I mean it's a very good game but it wasn't especially innovative
Once you finish it, there isn't much reason to talk about it
You rarely have to reference it by comparison to another game because there are more famous examples of what it does
The opening cutscene was really cool while high as shit
Speaking of openings.
I can't get over how fucking cool Expedition opening bit is.

@unreal idol @unkempt plinth Do you like fantastic music? Do you like singing in French? Do you like turn-based JRPGs? Do you like Final Fantasy-styled JRPGs? Do you like all of these and more along with excellent voice acting, an intriguing story, mature themes, and dark fantasy akin to Dark Souls/FF16?
If you said yes to all of them, take a look at Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. I think you both will LOVE it.
I am looking into getting it. And it's dirt cheap too compared to most bigger games these days. The devs deliberately priced it at like $50 or $60 (depending in your region and currency), because they want people to actually play the game.
I remember seeing a trailer for this and thinking it was really cool, it definitely interests me
Dirt cheap at fifty dollars
It is 45 dollars for me, which is about five times my ideal price
I mean, it just released.
So it's as dirt cheap as a new day-1 release is gonna get.
I would say it's priced fairly, at least for the western market, it has some buzz behind it and looks extremely promising with a stacked VA cast behind it, but it is from an unknown dev,
I definitely don't think 50 bucks is to the level of an act of charity
Also it's on game pass, for those than plan to binge it and don't want to commit full price
That is...not a plus for everyone.
I am happy they are free, they sure as fuck seem to be a lot more talented than the Ubisoft output seems to suggest
My only problem is that I am getting way too much Jennifer English in my ears lately.

Her theme sounds really really good too actually :cocobop:
So, I'm playing Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, and there's this idiot in a town who dug around in his grandfather's old basement, and thought he found several bottles of alcohol, so he started drinking some. One of them was a potion of invisibility, for you see his grandfather was an alchemist, and he starts to freak out, and begs me to help him. So, being the kind soul that I am, I go to the town shaman and ask for her aid. She makes a cure for him, and I give it to him, and he swears off drinking forever. All's well that ends well, right?
Well, not really. Turns out if you come back later and return to that spot, his clothes and boots are there, but he is not. In his place is a small rabbit-like creature, and another empty potion bottle. Only this time you can't interact with him, so he's basically permanently stuck like that.

mobile OSes are pretty bad at back compatibility, you don't really have an alternative other than running an Android emulator with an old Android version on your PC
TouchHLE can emulate a few old iOS games (2008-2010), but Trainz isn't one of them to my knowledge
The boss room lags the shit out of my device even with the boss dead
What's up with that?
An unbounded counter is like a regular one but you have to charge it up first. It has a less strict window
Oh it's useless against arrow volleys
which boss is this?
I think a windows emulator can run trainz 2009/2004

holy fuck the Nihilanth is so fucking hard
The Dragon Tail archetype has had its name changed.

yeah, if the game works without Steam, there's a chance it can work with Winlator. You may need Turnip drivers for your device though, which are not available outside of Snapdragon SoCs (and not all Snapdragons have drivers)
looks at Snapdragon 8 Elite
how do you rate the Nihilanth boss fight out of 10? Wrong answers only. 😛
uhhh
well i liked the idea
the crystals were cool
but teleporting me to areas with more monsters and platforming sucked
so i guess like
5/10 ?
whole game is obv 10/10 i even kind of enjoyed Xen up to the factory
i do feel bad for killing vortigaunts through the whole game
since IIRC you've finished the Yanlao fight, it should be easy to go back and find the missing one
there's five
I'll look again
Under a thousand is fine
oh no i mean the farewell in 4 deaths
bravo for lies of p devs for exceeding my expectations for how dogshit level design can be in games
Original or black mesa?
orig
just started ninesols, had to get my abomination controls in place 😌
its weird not being able to dodge mid air after ender games
the game looks so pretty on the macbok display damn
hoping im not gonna struggle too much if i spam skip on dialogue
look im a bookless gen z zoomer baby with technology and phones and computers and vapes rotting my brain, leave me be
as long as you come back for the story at some point
, it's also great
maybe,i was mostly interested in the gmaeplay tbf and expected the story to be a side thing kinda like in ender lillies where if you want you can find notes for it n stuff but dont really have to pay much attention to it
ah, fair, Nine Sols' story is much more direct than the Soulslike/Hollow Knight approach of making you piece it all together from random artifacts
anyway, in general I think the info you need for gameplay is pretty clearly separated from "just story" text, though of course it's impossible to guarantee you won't ignore/skip some "gameplay text" once you get in the habit of not reading things
I guess the true ending, and the ||extra phase of the final boss|| gameplay that unlocks, would be pretty hard to find without paying any attention to story stuff, since most of the conditions amount to "do all optional story stuff"
im a master fuck arounder find outer so even if i do it likely wont be an issue id assume
a bit weird that menu controls are not consistent with gameplay controls but not too big of a deal
The Retro PC Time Capsule format returns once more - but this time in the context of a brand-new game. Oblivion Remastered on PC running maxed out on a 12900K/RTX 5090 system is stacked up against the 2006 original, running on period appropriate hardware - a Pentium D 3.0GHz processor paired with the (then) almighty Radeon X1800 XT. Just how muc...
apparently you can see the Throat of the World in the north of the Remastered map
I had to do this like 5 or 6 times in a row to progress just because there are so many enemies on the other side 😦
oh gosh, that looks tedious to do that much
What game is that?
Dungeon Siege (the first one)
I watched my brother play it when I was a kid, now I'm the one playing it ~20 years later 😛
I started this playthrough last year, I resumed it last week
it's basically Diablo but you get to control 8 characters at once, and monsters don't respawn (so you can enjoy the carnage you've done when backtracking)
Ok after a few days playing Expedition 33, this keep being extremely solid.
The gameplay is very interesting, having active elements in a turn based RPG is unique, reminds me of Legend of Dragoon
It's pretty satisfying to learn the patterns and absolutely destroy enemies that give you trouble just by timing parries and dodges.
Not enough of those around, hope Exp33 kind of exploding will bring some more devs to the genre
I should get back to TTYD
but chapter 6 is such a slog (it's not as bad of a slog as i remember)
Especially western devs, since it seems like this whole genre seems to be dominated by eastern developers, it'd be interesting to see fresh ideas
I'm just putting off GENERAL WHITE
the new hub pipe room they added should make things less tedious, tho
Play the randomizer, it skips him

Oh huh
I also have P Up D Down and that 6 BP one that gives straight one Attack
They should make it so Power Bounce can be infinite if you do it frame perfectly
If I had Goombella max ranked I c ould have done Rally Wink into double Power Bounce
that seems like it would lead to an awful speedrun they quarantine into its own category
Well I'd play it
It's capped for bosses

gonna go for da funny superbos
I'll tell you how to unlock it in spoiler text: ||you gotta get to floor 100 a second time||

never would have thought of that
(I mean, Super Paper Mario did a similar thing but blehhh)

i don't think smashing them underneath my fat italian arse would do any more good, tbh
At the moment this is only possible on a single stage and is kind of a tribute to the older Fatal Fury games. It's not intended to be part of the general gameplay.

oooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhh
a 2d fighter with the ability to sidestep is kind of nuts
incidentally, when I was commuting the other day I saw a double-decker bus with a giant Fatal Fury ad painted all over it
With this new fatal fury they really seem to want people knowing it exists and to talk about it
i love the power glove bounce
it's so bad
It's a bit of a weird situation because Fatal Fury isn't even their most popular franchise that SNK has, let alone a relatively popular fighting game in general, their most popular is probably and has always been KOF instead, but they've been doing a hell of a lot of work in terms of marketing this game and just sharing word of it especially getting popular people like Speed showing up for promotional material and putting two whole real people in the base roster of the game
and no, i did not beat the Glitz Pit superboss
holy crap
power bounce is a little good
if i had more Charge badges it'd be even more ridiculous, I'd just skip the Power Lift entirely
even I vaguely recall using power bounce a lot when I played TTYD
i should play TTYD
is a very good game
oh yeah, even the GDQ run I saw of TTYD kills the final boss with what feels like ||Yoshi's|| equivalent of power bounce
oh wow they nerfed Danger Mario hard.
i mean, not really "nerfed" as much as "jacked up Badge prices because oh god people are destroying this game with Danger Mario strats, nerf nerf nerf nerf"
lol
I haven't really played the parlor so i dunno if like, the slots are any easier
either way, not doing DM strats this time, both because i've done it before (you would to if you did pit without it) and like, having a little bit of challenge
been trying out Unleashed Recompiled...
it looks really nice

gah
trying to mod oblivion remastered and ihve no idea what im doing
every time i try modding, it just fails to load the game and then i have to verify all files because one file gets changed and i dont know which one
...Wait, it released already? I thought they just put out the trailer for it and maybe a demo?
what? no its been out for like 5 days
...Huh.
its just spitting out an EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION error
which is the same error as running out of vram, i think
but without doing any mods it still gives me that error some times
so its staggeringly unhelpful and giving me no real feedback, the single mods im trying to install dont do anything that would require any significant effort on the vram side
I FIGURED IT OUT
i was using vortex modloader for convenience
turns out, vortex modloader accidentally fucks up the load order of the core game files
It's an error that happens when the program tries to access RAM in a way it's not allowed.
i think it inverted them
either way its an easy fix, i just gotta paste in the correct order of the default files into the plugin.txt
inconvenient but much less inconvenient than doing everything else myself
i dont think i need to do this every time but ill check anyway
doesnt look like i do
neat
gtk tho
https://forums.nexusmods.com/topic/13513698-instant-crash-with-any-mod/?do=findComment&comment=130505490 if anyone needs this
I have verified my files, created a new profile on vortex, and downloaded a few mods. Immediate crash. Then I had to re verify my files and it says I lost a file and had to recover it. Tried a single mod, also crash. Same thing, 1 file failed and had to be re acquired. My game is through steam an...
oh also vortex just isnt adding any filename in the plugin.txt so you gotta do that manually too

"So how did Pit of 100 Trials go?"
T H A N K F U L L Y
TTYD Remake has a retry feature
is that Wreckfest?
it looks oddly low-res
(And yes I abused it like a fucking bitch, I'm not doing Pit 3 fucking times because the RNG screwed me on floor goddamn 99.)
Well, farming Tube Game is not that bad for Pinatas.
The main problem with that idea is... Well, look at my coin count.
Turns out Pit of 100 Trials just showers you in money, lmao
The maps low res but overall I lowered it because this unoptimised game stutters if I max the resolution

#nine sols: Exploring the abandoned mines. After several deaths against the normal version of that guy in the Tiandao Research Center, I figured his movement out and took out Celestial Warden Yinyue
I don't usually do Water Flow spell style but it works great against this guy because he doesn't give you many openings
water flow my beloved
water flow gang
Here's my interpretation of the three styles:
1- Qi Blast: Spends all your qi at once, up to three units at a time. You must then hold the button to explode them. Default.
2- Water Flow: Spends two qi at a time (no more or less) and explodes automatically, but if you fail, it wastes both points and doesn't explode.
3- Full Control: Spends exactly how much you want, up to five units at a time. Requires careful timing.
Concerns:
A- Spending three qi at a time gives me back an arrow. That's a point against water flow.
B- Spending five at a time stuns the enemy to give me a healing opening.
C- Water Flow can be upgraded to spend one at a time for the same damage, making it the most efficient style in terms of qi point per damage.
My preferences:
I- Qi Blast is generally good because it's the most efficient in terms of damage per opening
II- Full Control is handy when I have the timing of an enemy nailed down.
III- Water Flow is good when I don't know how to handle an enemy.
I don't think you can "fail" a water flow? (except by missing an enemy completely, which applies to all three styles)
re: "A", the bonus ammo is from enhanced qi blast
the rest sounds right
also summarizes exactly why I mostly used Water Flow on my first playthrough and Full Control on my second
Yes, the difference is that missing an enemy completely subtracts one qi on other styles and two on unupgraded water flow
oooh

Hey Ixrec, you don't play Multiplayer PvP games right? Do you happen to know any good FPS games that are less PVP and more solo/co-op?
Gunfire Reborn
That's a good one, very much a roguelike with some cool guns and updates I've seen.
correct, but I've played very few shooters lately so I can't recommend anything you wouldn't already know
no worries!
I was trying earlier to think of any good PvP shooters I could play that aren't monetised like a GaaS style with battlepasses or lootboxes etc, but all the major games with enough playerbase for me to play with reasonable que times are that style
It was possible to cut lootboxes, but the engagement mechanic/metric farming seems ever present in any new/modern PvP fps
Hence why I'm looking to non PvP fps games as an alternative for when I feel like that sort of game haha
trans ghost gonna throw hands

Im so excited for Death Stranding 2, im absolutely loving the first game and I cant wait to play the second when it comes ouy

there's 3 major boss fights left, i think i'm done for today, bloody hell

Is it fun to play HC?
yea
nice nice, good luck with the missions
I NEVER ASKED FOR THIS!
does anyone here have a Steam Deck and the new Oblivion Remaster ? if so does it run ok ?
apparently it's not a good experience, like most UE5 games
"Too Big for Steam Deck" is becoming increasingly a problem
Well the steam deck is a. Portable and b. Quite old now
But also oblivion remastered is horribly optimised
It's huge, and while the new graphics are stunning, it's still an 18 year old game underneath
Still arguably better than skyrim
hey Skyrim's great
well, maybe i'll try it out. i'm fine with low frames, i am a nintendo fan at heart after all
At Alchemy 100 you can now drink a total of 22 Skooma by drinking 12 Skooma with your hotkey and another 10 from your inventory.
Alchemy at level 49 and under: 4 from hotkey and 4 from inventory
Alchemy at level 50: 6 from hotkey and 6 from inventory
Alchemy at level 100: 12 from hotkey and 10 from inventory

havent seen that port used since psp
iirc my ds4 uses micro usb
It's a fucking shitty cable and I moved to dualsense just because of how bad it is
Fair enough
Micro-B was my nickname in college
Ok so, there is this one thing in Expedition 33 that I didn't expect
The fact that it has these active elements, like dodging and parrying enemies attack, kind of means that, you can fight enemies much stronger than you are much earlier than you'd expect.
Because theorically, even if it takes like, 30 turns, as long as you dodge or parry everything that they throw at you, you are eventually gonna kill them.
This is really cool and also it's gonna be the death of me because I can't stop throwing myself at walls along the way
(that said, when you win and they give you a weapon like, 5 levels higher than everything else you found up until now, it feels pretty worth it)
This is also something you can do in games without an active element, if it was designed cleverly
That's why I like Crystal Project
Only one enemy exists that cannot be beaten at the starting level
That's great
The thing that helps make a game like that work is less the active element and more the predictability. Active element or not, you have to be able to predict how the game will react to a given set of actions, and whether that reaction is better or worse than another one
Turn based RPGs tend to have tons and tons of randomness to spice it up and that's what makes it hard
You can see it more clearly in a game like Dark Souls 3, where the Dancer of the Boreal Valley is less predictable and remains hard for longer than other bosses with higher stats
Trixie wtf??
The way you cross the tar belt in Death Stranding is so creative. Genuinely I don't think I've seen something like that in any other game

one thing catching me off guard about nine sols alot is how late the parry timings are, like i think its the latest timings ive felt in any game ive played
its not particularly a bad thing but just takes quite a bit of readjusting
I wonder if that's part of the reason it worked for me
how is this posible
oh... Oh NO I MISSED A VITAL STEP IN THE OTHER SUPERBOSS
could be,personally i prefer earlier ones since they are a bit more comfortable to do on reaction
Nine Sols parry times are usually when the sound effect plays
For Dark Souls it's usually when the enemy wrist crosses their side
atleast on the first boss it felt weird, not all parries felt consistent with the sound
First boss being the one near the elevator with the healing point just before?
That one does feel a bit weird but it's not too bad
yep
where are you at in nine sols rn
just got the mystic nymph
ˢᵗʸˡᶦˢʰ
guess who's doing 50-100 a second time today
its someone whos first name is H and last name is C
love when metroidvanias add randomass holes that look like they would have something in them cuz ur conditioned into looking for stuff like that after playing a bunch of them but they dont actually have anything behind them or any reason to even be there to begin with
lol
there's a bunch of holes with actual stuff in them, I don't even know what this one is
for sure, but also every metroidvania seems to have a fuck ton of empty ones as well
weird, that hasn't been my experience
I've often seen things I thought might be a hidden passage but turned out to just be environment detail that didn't mean anything, and that's mostly in the early hours of a new game
ok the timings of parries are borderline comically late, like some attacks i parried when the animation of them was already ending
its more sound based from what I remember
guess who is doing pit for the third time today
ok fine Bethesda
its joever for me i play in vc or with music 99% of the time
You absolutely need sound to play the game, but you can turn the music off
That's why the game says at the start that they recommend controller and headphones
yeah i dont think the game is really for me then,i motly read parries visually and that doesnt seem to work very consistently in this game
I rely more on animations than sounds personally; the main sound I listen for is the successful parry vs damage noises since I'm primarily watching the enemy
i might just replay lillies and magnolia
maybe those 2 just spoiled me more on metroidvanias cuz they felt like the perfect metroidvanias for me
that's fair, once we're talking about the top 5-10 metroidvanias it's gonna come down to personal preference
e.g. some people like Hollow Knight over Nine Sols because HK has a lot more non-linearity, some people like Nine Sols more because they like the more direct story with more developed characters, etc
oh btw I got Magnolia ending A yesterday
finally
the linearity of ninesols is very feelable even the very beginning,it kinda caught me off guard
good shit i dont recomend going for B
well, even most metroidvanias have a strictly linear beginning before "it opens up", but yeah 9S opens up less than some
even the enviroment feels more closed down than ender magnolia as an example,it especially i liked cuz it felt open since the very beginning and not in a somewhat confusing way like hollow knight
They should not give me dialog options if the branches are literally the same
I feel like Magnolia was more open at the start and less open at the end, but it does depend a lot on what order you feel like doing things
and on whether one includes 9S's sidequests in measuring its non-linearity
The sidequests can be linear or nonlinear themselves
early magnolia feels like "its open go explore" end of it more feels like a multiple choice answer, you either go left or right
Anyway, let's play Nine Sols. I have a naked guy to beat up
alright i'm not doing pit again today
sometimes it's impossible to pin down exactly why some players felt more open in some games than others
objectivelly speaking could be,but also how it makes the player feel the cases is matters alot as well imo
I guess personally I'm happy with a wide range of linearities as long as the game's relatively consistent about it, e.g. Nine Sols gives you more map detail and more directions more freely than Hollow Knight does, so I never expected to do as much aimless wandering
(it also helps that the most linear parts of Nine Sols are that way for good story reasons)
yeah I'm agreeing with that lol
part of the reason "go left or right" in Magnolia (or "go up or down" in Lilies) works is that at a super high level the progression may be that simple, but within each region, and often within individual rooms, there's a bunch of smaller branches that keep the navigation meaningful yet never overwhelming
and ofc I'm the type to 100% an area before moving on but I always had the choice to just not do that and come back later if I felt like seeing new areas first, and having that choice is part of the fun
maybe I'm just used to this sort of thing so when Nine Sols gives me a choice of 3 paths to take, and later on 2 paths to take, it feels like about the standard amount of non-linearity to me; especially since they're often not literal straight lines and you need to go down each one for a while to see where they lead or even realize what choice you made
He is dead
No, the map in Nine Sols is pretty nonlinear
It's just that the story is linear AND tries to make it feel that it's nonlinear
that's a good way to put it
||https://i.imgur.com/WDl3ks0.png|| Friend, we're seeing your death cutscene. Of course it's the end
say it with me now
HEROES ARE FORGED IN AGONY
I do not like him
Also for some reason the game runs at 15 FPS in this arena, even on low graphics
weird, I haven't had framedrops there
The typical for this area is like 20-25
he did for a split second made me think a third phase was possible
also I sabotaged his tank thingy too so it was an easier fight
The achievement should be for doing the fight without it, not for doing it.
(Jiequan) ||using the Gene Eradicator has a pretty minor effect overall, I personally don't use it; I even heard one person say they find the fight easier without it since he's more consistent without the coughing fits||
||of course, for story reasons I still love that the choice is there and has unique dialogue and all||
can i just talk about the method of unlocking that superboss?
(TTYD Remake) ||"Oh yeah, hit Whacka ten times and them go through the Pit of 100 Trials twice. Totes legit."||

TIL there’s an OSHA rule that glass separating rooms be easily and safely breakable
hand. rails. everybody
Aperture and Black Mesa break every OSHA rule ever
Do we get a pass if it looks cool as hell
ofc
Black Mesa has radioactive waste just randomly spilled but the neon green looks badass
I actually remember really paying attention to the layout of the Shagohod room when I was sneaking into Groznyj Grad in MGS3 and kinda seeing if there were any glaring problems but it all looked pretty alright to me, some pretty high walkways but plenty of tall handrails everywhere
it's just sometimes really fun to pay attention to the smaller details when playing a game like that, I remember plenty of times when I was playing Cyberpunk I'd just stop at a random alleyway or corner of the city and just kinda see where some areas would lead to or if they'd just cut off randomly, just kinda looking around at the back of an apartment complex or something and stuff
Oh my god, this is amazing
Uuuuugh. God damnit, expedition 33
Choice A) English VO because the lipsynch in cutscenes is clearly English
Choice B) French VO because the English VO uses french curse words and sorry, the english accents when trying to use them is awkward as fuck
So I just need to figure out what bothers me more
I nominate my vote to go the route of choice A
(B is an option because I myself am 🇫🇷 so I understand it fine)
bro, this game pushes the dopamine button the same way balatro used to do
I can't speak about the French VO but if you don't go for the English one you don't get Shadow heart voice actor, just saying
Love wreckfest
Oh I just noticed, from first place to last place
In French-developed games, I almost always go for French VA
#nine sols: Cortex Center boss has three phases? That's just not fair
Same honestly, but the lipsynch thing is annoying
Borderlands 4 is now releasing earlier
Are you a big borderlands fan Blade?

oh nice, have they shown any gameplay segments for Borderlands 4? I didn't much enjoy 3, but I did like 2 so maybe 4 will be interesting

note that this isn't a Starcraft RTS. It's some other type of game using Starcraft IP (characters, names, images, etc.)
same reason why star wars is in Fortnite, 💰 💸
lol
I finished Death Stranding last night. Definitely one of my new favorite games
Awesome to hear.
Death Stranding is just a great game with such a banger story
It's the only walking simulator to make me cry
It's weird because I think the game doesn't actually do an amazing job at delivering it, it's very inelegant with how it just says out loud the themes of the story, over and over, as if it's worried you aren't smart enough to get there by yourself.
That said, the story is so good that it still lands
Yeah I agree with that
The exaustive list of A list actors probably also help selling the story a lot
it probably is, the parts which landed the best for me were all interpersonal drama stuff
the larger state of the world felt much vaguer and more confusing by comparison
Agreed
Also probably helps that I kind of fuck with the themes.
I love all the sappy stuff about humans connecting between each other, creating something bigger than themselves, building figurative and literal bridges, all that shit.
but ziplines are objectively better than bridges
I've seen memes of ppl comparing her design to Toriel from Undertale and I can't unsee it
same
They're way different
Toriel is a videogame character whereas Lady Ethereal is my aunt's fursona
they are, but I understand the shared vibe that leads to the comparison

They are showing some tomorrow they are having a state of play tomorrow on PlayStation
Ok something I learned about Expedition 33
The soundtrack is just composed by some dude they found on Bandcamp
Like, it's his first soundtrack
If you are playing this, you know how insane this is, this might be one of the best OST in gaming and they just went and found this dude
That's fucking crazy wtf
RIP this dude inbox email business account
The OST is like 154 tracks long, and goes on for like, 3 hours.
Dude went crazy on it
woah
awesome
wow
It's arguably the best part of the game, and it's incredible it's not someone established that did this
Reading more about this, this dude is working at this OST for 5 years.
Crazy talented guy, I wouldn't be surprised if in like 20 years he is up there with some of the most famous composers in the industry.
oh yeah wasn't the Balatro score done by some random guy Thunk found on fiver
yeah lol

Okay so far halo 3 is kinda.... amazing, ,like CE was nice , 2 was like CE but a lot rougher in some places , and 3 is probably the best one so far , like its perfected all problems that 2 had and added some more on top .
(Also this cover art goes really hard for me fsr)
P much
I think I preferred 2s campaign tho
Mostly because it was so cheesy and corny
Arbiter literally having his entire world shattered........while chief just sorta runs around and shoots things
Ye
Plus Johnson at his finest, hamming it up like a champ
back when I replayed the Halos regularly, I typically bounced between 1 because simplest, 3 because most refined, and 5 because most unique, depending on my mood
Never played 4 or 5
Did a bit of 4 with ember while we were doing co-op campaigns, but stopped
yeah, by the time 4 and 5 came out I was apparently the only one still playing single player games; nobody ever talks about those campaigns
wreckfest is fun #3
The devs of Subnautica 2 are in the official Subnautica Discord server, which people have begun treating as a "Demand the devs put this in the game" space. The devs are being good sports and explaining why some of the more ridiculous/ambitious stuff can't/won't happen.
Guys can't put Sans in the game
Time for the 42069th "Can we have the Cyclops but bigger" post
Games for May with PlayStation plus any membership
Ark is good
I’m tempted to interpret “bigger” in increasingly absurd ways, for example the Cyclops being so large it has whole planets inside of it 😛
People want whole mobile bases, and devs are like "Y'all remember this is a survival game, right? You're here to make it by, not dominate the environment."
Half the fun of a lot of survival games is progressing from “making it by, barely” to “totally dominating,” tbh.
Minecraft is a survival game
I remember part of the fun of the original was getting to the point of having a base and other tools that allowed you to putter around and do what you liked without constantly worrying about bare survival.
Another common thing the devs keep shutting down is people wanting like 60 hours worth of story and lore outside of all the survival and they're like "You guys are lucky getting the ~30 we've got planned"
how many "hours of story" do we count the original as having
Very cool enemy in the background https://i.imgur.com/YaEsA0j.png
It's blind, listening intently to the movement of the grass. When it hears something, a brief sound effect plays, then it teleports behind you and attacks, giving you a small opening to parry and maybe attack back before it teleports into the background again
Only thing cooler would've been to let me cut or burn grass so it can't hear
steely jade is so satisfying when you run into these guys
Oh I just use water flow on them
Too soon Neptune, too soon
I do have two new computing units I could put steely jade on with
tbf watching them die in the background is also pretty cool
I don't see any use for steely jade on these guys
Gave it a try and it didn't change my behavior
fair
I tend to gravitate towards steely whenever I'm struggling since it gives me so much breathing room, especially when combined with water flow so I effectively get free hits
Bearing jade is the one that gives you free hits. Steely jade allows you to trade hits without being interrupted
I need one more slot to get this really neat build working https://i.imgur.com/xJp4Ajp.png
huh, knockback's never been a limitation for me in getting hits in
always interesting to see what charms/jades other people gravitate to
For that enemy specifically, correctly parrying all three hits of their long attack gives me an opening to apply a talisman without taking damage. Parrying their one attack chain doesn't give me an opening
oh, yeah, for that enemy it really doesn't matter what jades you bring
I just like how steely + water flow lets me smack them a few times before they can teleport away with my talisman
funny, the new Neptunia game dropped today as I started replaying RB1
this is actually a coincidence
what genre is neptunia
degeneracy
i mean, RPG
at least, the main games are, the spinoffs go wild with genre
I'd recommend starting with Re;Birth 1 since it's a remake of the first game
and Re;Birth 2 and 3 are mostly the same mechanically
I'd wait for a sale, they go on BIG SALES pretty often

-# god IF is cute
it's been a while since I saw her
who did she represent again?
Oh, Idea Factory! Right
i think i got distracted
I only have two more achievements for Elden Ring before the platinum trophy
I just need to beat Dragonlord Placidusax and get the Elden Lord ending

shika nokonoko
Microsoft is raising prices on Xbox consoles, controllers, headsets, and some games. The price hike for consoles and accessories kicks in today, May 1, and while game prices will stay the same for now, we should expect to see Xbox charging $79.99 for new, first-party games around the holiday season.
It begins
Had a feeling Reggie and Phil Spencer were in on it together
They aren't gonna be lowered either once this blows over. Once people start buying them at this price, the corporations will take it as a sign that people will pay anything for their games.
Prepare for $100 games to become the new norm, mark my words.
hopefully Steam sales are not negatively affected by this too much 🙂
especially for > 1 year old games
Just checked Amazon and Best Buy, changes haven't hit yet
If it costs too much I simply don't have the money to buy it
Apparently it’s only some first party games but we will see
Then don't buy them at that price
I never bought a game for full price and I lived!
*a 50$+ game, I mean
I did buy indie games for full price occasionally to support the devs
Yeah, pricing is one aspect of the game, and if it's not to your preference that should encourage you to buy games that are
If it’s a game series I like I don’t mind getting it at full price. But lately I’ve been playing some older games.
“Its just ten more dollars bro, also we have the ultimate edition for $140 with unreleased dlc.”
I kinda want to blame Nintendo for effectively being bullish when they showed the Mario Kart World price.
But at this point, idk.
Nintendo were dumb for doing it first
Should have waited for the other two to start it
But then you've got this massive 3 way game of chicken...
Wouldn’t surprise me if Sony are next
Probably either tomorrow or next week.
It woukd surprise me if they werent
True. I guess I could turn on my smart toaster.
(I actually wonder if there is an android smart toaster)
There's an Xbox toaster
good emoji
Thanks
And a fridge
SUCH HUMILIATION, THIS WAS NOT MY INTENTION!
Can you even imagine the Silksong subreddit when the game comes out and they actually have to start talking about the game and not whether or not it's gonna come out and when
That's gonna be so weird
if nothing else, there's going to be a critical mass of hype backlash
They have 6 years worth of memes and shitposting, a whole subreddit culture, that is wholly constructed on the wait
It's gonna be a massive shift
me when discord adds disabling ping replies
It's becoming a new Duke nukem forever
eh duke nukems problems were much different tbh
my nep is the nep that shall pierce the neppens
Tbf, they also just had really shitty timing. Announcing the Switch 2 and Mario Kart World like two hours before the tariffs hit the world.
the console generations have also been skewed for a while so that Nintendo kinda has to go separately from the other two
and with Nintendo's being the only portable "console", plus the exclusives, it has less overlap with the other two than the other two do with each other
so, at least business-wise, I don't think trying to wait for all three to announce a new console at the same time would've worked out
I just booted up my switch to do my master duel daily missions for gems and this was in Nintendo News.
h o n s
remember to buy your games used, folks
Or on steam sales
can i just say how much i hate nintendo for making $80 games the new norm
what do video game prices even mean now
Nah Nintendo didn't do it alone. All three were always gonna do it. Blaming Nintendo solely for it is dumb.
since inflation is a real thing, it was always going to happen sooner or later; people have been talking for a while about how weird it is that $60 remained the magic number for so long
that Nintendo did it first is certainly an interesting choice though
This is why I only try to buy games used If possible lol
Unless it's like the new tony hawk game
That game I have to get the deluxe edition pre-ordered for
someday i'll fully switch over to pc gaming and emulation
someday surely....
I generally try to buy indie games at whatever price they're at when I feel like playing them, but those are never(?) higher than $30 so that's easy to say
I guess the problem is that wages remained stagnant? (for the US at least), federal minimum wage hasnt increased in ages
the federal minimum wage is $7.25 an hour. that's literally nothing
it should be in the double digits by now, like at least $12 to $15 dollars
some states have the minimum wage in double digits
but yeah some states have the lowest limit
I remember DooM and DooMII were $40 brand new, in 93/94. Plugging that in to an online inflation calculator gives me $86-88. So these prices are actually not super surprising.
Minimum wage is like a mirage here
as of the start of 2024, federal minimum was still $7.25 and about 20 states had no additional higher minimum (but many municipalities within those states have higher minimums). Other state minimums range from $8.25 in WV to $16.28 in WA (and $17 in DC)
this country does not treat people well money-wise dear celestia
Around 8$ if you work for like 7eleven like I used to do
In Kentucky minimum wage is still 7.25
When I started working at my job in 2018 I was at 9 an hour
Now I'm at 16 an hour
my nearest Walmart starts cashiers at $19/hour
Yea shit sucks here
im only hoping that the price hike doesn't affect canada as well
i want to move there so bad
and i have a good feeling it pays people very well there
Price changes have now been applied
Lowest minimum wage provincially in Canada is $15 CAD, so about $10 USD
Just don't look too hard into housing market over there
the housing market is trash everywhere
:yea:
always has been
my landlord kicked out my previous upstairs tennants to replace them with a fucking air B&B
I fucking hate air B&B

Always Bet on Silksong.
budgets were also tiny, Doom was roughly made on a 3 million budget, Doom 2 probably even less
Serious Sam is < 1 million
that reminds me, I looked at Devolver's investor report recently, and Cult of the Lamb made more money in 3 years than Serious Sam in 23 years
yeah, back then video game studios were nowhere near the size of current ones. The doomii credits have 19 professional roles + 2 thanks
compare: Baldur's Gate 3 has 2,333 professional roles and 613 thanks in their credits (both sets of numbers from moby games)
As far as I understand, Silksong is extremely likely to be here within the year.
In September a copy is slated to go up on an Australian Museum dedicated to video games so like...it'd be weird if it's not out by then.
GTA VI credits are going to be reckoned with
there will surely be people I've worked with in the past in the credits 🙂
exciting
Once Upon a Time in Shaolin…
Coincidentally the first exhibition of that album was in Tasmania.
At this point I would be surprised if we don't get a date from Game Summer Fest
That’s actually pretty cool.
Skyblivion devs get keys for free so once they finish, they can experience Bethesda’s remaster.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZEqxmXUB64U tl;dw someone discovered that in the Microsoft Store version (released in May, 2024, Steam version was Jun, 2018) release of the N.Sane Trilogy that more dev levels were discovered, rumoured to be put here because of Microsoft's acquiring of Activision and the dissolving of Vicarious Visions studio that made the N.Sane Trilogy
Games to claim on prime
lego star wars for free is badass
Nice.
Galactic Battlegrounds mention holy
GTA 6 release date!
Atleast it isn't late 2026
I can't believe it, GTA 6 is finally coming
No more "before gta 6" memes, now it's "gta 6 before x game"
Q-Q
Rockstar has always liked to be perfect
Rare Bethesda W.
Yep
Arguably almost all of their releases hit hard
The parent company Take 2 has lost some stock value since the announcement
imagine half life 3 happening
it would be epic !!!!
and like there has been some leaks recently, and freaking alyx !
and from what i've been hearing online, the people that played alyx says the ending TOTALLY hints for a 3rd opus
and i don't wanna spoil myself because i plan on buying a whole meta quest 3 just for alyx but argg i still can't stop myself from being hyped by a potential follow up to episode 2

my.. My trainz 2004
