well, Witcher isn't one where you need to play the others, in fact I've personally played both 2 and 3 (I found 1 too boring to even sit through an LP, much less play) and one of the weakest aspects of 3 is how much of 2 it has to effectively rollback in order to have any "importing your W2 save changes stuff" content, so it's arguably better out of order
