I was lucky enough to have no issues with my copy of the original MGS2 pc port outside of having to put up with the extremely odd keyboard binds because these games were not built for keyboard and mouse

When I was playing Stalker Shadow of Chernobyl for some reason the windowed mode is locked into the upper left corner of the screen and you can't move it at all

Though I know Stalker is one of those games with such a passionate community behind it that it definitely has mods to 'fix' all the pc port jankiness and even add tons more content but I wanted to get that raw eurojank experience and it did not disappoint

This, not so much. I get cross-play but most games toggle this off or on.

But meh, online mode is online and using Epic or Steam’s networking api would add a lot of work to its current implementation.

In my opinion, a good way to summarize it is that from a gameplay perspective, Survivor is effectively just Fallen Order but longer and with additional/more refined mechanics.

Ultimately, if you liked Fallen Order, chances are very high that you will like Survivor as well.

Seems like there's been some changes made to James, according to what I've seen this comes from an updated icon for the game from the Steam page
I'm still extremely apprehensive about this remake and what little I saw didn't convince me but if this is actually a recent change they made in response to the community then I'm happy they're open to make changes to stick closer to the source material

I have a steam controller!

Have used it lots in the past but I do longer use it, I instead prefer something like a PS4 controller where it has gyro. The mouse pad instead of a joystick is cool for first person shooter games, it lets you make more precise movements, but I still used gyro to make more fine movements anyway. Other then first person shooter games it ended up being a hastle, where I wished I just had a joystick instead of a mouse pad, and having to emulate a joystick using that mouse pad is absolutely terrible.

Maybe if you are playing something like city skylines where you need to click on stuff and control a mouse it would work, but at that point just use the mouse.

I think the tldr version of what I said is that it is good for first person shooter games and not much else
