I haven't touched mods at all so I can't say. For weapons, i end up just going with a lot of iconics so I don't change them a lot. So it depends on what you're commonly getting, the drops at my level seem to be mostly blue and purples and a fair number of oranges
So at this point I'm selling everything blue and below, and disassembling purples and oranges so i can use the mats to upgrade cyberware and weapons

wife has been struggling so bad at the start of Dark Souls 2 ... finally decided to check her keybinds and I noticed the "disable double click" icon. Yeah apparently in DS2 on PC, you have input lag because the game is waiting to see if there are 2 clicks. (And if you've unbound double click, but haven't changed that option, it seems like half the time it just is like "you clicked twice I guess that means don't do anything" which is unplayable garbage)

If you use the steam version, Steam should support first party controllers of all major consoles
Personally I prefer the PS4 controller because it's relatively cheap, performs fine wirelessly, and has a small grip
If you do buy one keep in mind the cable is an old micro USB cable which is pretty bad

As someone who exclusively plays with mouse and keyboard DS2 has vastly better KBM controls compared to DS1 but these games are probably way more comfortable with controllers, but that said it's actually pretty comfortable to play with a keyboard
DS2 at least already has mouse support and customizable key binds and it feels alright, for DS1 I had to use a mod and even then it was janky as all hell so I ended up mostly playing with just a keyboard for most of my time with it

I also remember DS2 had the option to change the jump to be a dedicated button instead of the DS1 way where you first need to build up a sprint and then quickly tap the sprint to jump forward

DS2's jumps due to a software bug can be much shorter than intended.
On Windows, you can fix it with a mod https://github.com/floelm/DS2BabyJumpMod
On Linux, you can either live with it by not making long jumps, or bind the jump button to L3 or R3 (like in future games)

I had a vivid dream about the concept the other night. E Gadd invites the Mario Bros (and Peach) to the Aroura Isles for the Sunshine Festival. The residents from Isle Delphino would be there to celebrate ala Mario Galaxy opening style. Bowser shows up to crash the party, but he's overshadowed by a new villain and is essentially demoted to a brainwashed lackey. Think of someone that looks like Count Bleck from SPM; He wants to drown out the light from the Isles and steal the Shine Sprites (Basically Nightmare Moon). As both Mario and Luigi are there, the game would be co-op. Player 1would have F.L.U.D.D. and Player 2 would have a replica with an equally clever acronym. And you'd go from there.

I've only played Planetfall, which was a major departure from the rest of the established series.

It is great 4x game.
There's also some carryover from each game as you unlock more hero and civilization customizations after matches.
At game start you get your hero unit and a few armies, you roam around completing quests for items and exp. Units get upgraded over the game so they don't get obsolete as the game progresses.
Combat is very similar to DnD, frontline units have Attack of Opportunity to stop armies charging your backline and such.

And you can get food/gold and such for your civilization from questing around, in a pitch you can feed advance your civilization that way.
I would say it is easier than a Civilizations game. Maybe on par with the Warhammer games.

In late 2003, Steam was released. It was the name given to a PC platform where Valve could deliver updates to its roster of games like Half-Life and Counter-Strike to its customers. To install and play games published by Valve, one would have to make the purchase for their game on the Valve website. That person who had made a purchase of the game would then be required to install Steam on their personal computer, whereby they would be able to access the game from the Steam client after logging in to their Steam account.
The Steam client solved a number of issues for Valve. By creating a singular platform for rolling out all updates, with a new auto-update feature that would keep all Valve games up to date constantly for their player base. This would improve upon the customer experience.

Microsoft could of been more hands on and either given the game more time, a reboot or scrapped, that's on Microsoft regardless of what happened beforehand. The trouble is due to the fallout from Redfall many of the talent left the studio which basically makes Arkane like Rare, a once great studio worn by others like a rotting skin.

yep, the version of the story I heard was that Arkane's games were doing financially okay-ish and management decided that wasn't good enough, but also cashed out of the whole operation before the trend-chasing would affect them either way (even if it had been a good idea)

People are thinking that the character featured is T'Soni, which is admittedly a straightforward guess, but there's also a good chance of it being correct.
People are also speculating on the definition of "Epsilon" here. Some say that it's just a reference to the next game being the fifth in the series, since Epsilon is the fifth letter in the Greek alphabet.
Others are reading a bit more into it. Apparently Epsilon is the name of one of the relays, which is sparking speculation that T'Soni might be working on a project involving interstellar travel not reliant on mass effect fields, which is in turn sparking speculation that Bioware might be picking up that dark energy plotline from back when ME2 first released. Not quite enough information to draw any conclusions on that front, I believe, but I feel that such ideas are interesting enough to warrant mention.
