OpenLara is what I used recently to play TR1, it was okay but I hit lots of bugs. One of them was really bad and basically prevented me from finishing a puzzle, so I had to cheat.
It is also unfinished and only supports TR1.
TR2 and TR3 are still not quite working fully yet.

It's also easy to forget that the ones higher up will also necessarily have less context available to them than the ones actually working on the relevant context down the totem pole. So it is often difficult for the higher-ups to have a full grasp of how well or poorly a given decision will affect a company because of how their jobs work and will thus have to work on their gut instinct/intuition.
But this one in particular? This might have been a fairly obvious one...
