Epic Games bought the parent company that owned the studio that made PCBS 1. This means that Epic Games now owns the entire "PC Building Simulator Franchise" of games. PCBS 2 is not just "exclusive to Epic Games" it is 100% an Epic Games game. It's owned by them. It's developed by them. It's launched on their platform. It will never be on Steam.

yep, I think in casual I ran around with Shroud and Blood by default since I wanted the lore and the platforms seemed to be the most scattered throughout the map

(also because the other platforming relic with scattered uses I didn't get until much later)

while rando lets you talk to corpses by default, since that's where it puts in-game hints, so the Shroud becomes a no-op and I run around with... I think I have Blood, Linen and Nail atm? since no one's found my Lung yet

The one I'm most disappointed about is the one where breaking background objects gives you money. It's so worthless that I can't justify equipping it but since I'm breaking a ton of them anyway it feels like a loss each time

and IME almost every game with swappable passives like this has some good-for-running-around options and good-for-combat options I end up having to either regularly switch between or simply ignore the benefits of one

like Hollow Knight's Wayward Compass / Gathering Swarm vs Quick Slash / Longnail / etc

The penitant one should suck it up and buy a reliquary lengthening implement

iirc in Hollow Knight I did bother to switch often because you spend significantly more of that game trying to find your way around

and in Blasphemous I basically had the extra tears bead early game until I got enough money and enough other beads that I had better options for general combat strength

and then I only swapped around charms/beads after I died once or twice to a fight and there was a really obvious improvement, like equipping the anti-fire bead for Quirce

part of the fun of randomizing these games is how it forces me to do something more interesting than "faster base attack, stronger base attack, higher base defense, hit stuff"

Eventually when you are done you get to go to the actual main hub in the game. Here you do a few more fetch quests and then craft the first proper ship with a bigger crew and cannons. Then you have to fight some merchants and fishing ships that cant fight back, and after that you finally get a quest that sends you into naval combat. This is about 2-3 hours into the game. Bear in mind this is a ship with 2 guns per side, from the ship shop it looks like it will be at least 20-25 hours before you get a ship the size of the one in Black Flag.

The ship shop and cannon shop shows that eventually you will unlock ships that seem more interesting (like I said above), but are you willing to sink maybe 30-50 hours into this game before it gets good? Thats essentially what this game is. Go do fetch quests again and again so you can slowly get better gear and eventually hope the game gets fun. In 6 hours I didnt have one moment that felt genuinely fun.

I looked it up because I wasn't sure how to proceed and whether or not I was doing something wrong and I thought better to just try everything I can do myself and then look it up because in the little cave area before this apparently by hitting the lamps and aiming down you can get a vertical jump which I had no idea was even a thing even though I totally found the lamps to be suspicious since the first moment

From a narrative standpoint, at least for Overwatch, it's clear that Blizzard just doesn't care anymore.

Duke has been dead since 2011. Only getting an “updated port” of duke nukem 3d (which apparently removed content)

Really nowadays most people know them from borderlands. Though given the infrequency they release those its probably not sustainable for them

But this is a single player/ coop centered game. This is just being greedy
