They have plenty of day 1 release content on game pass that is still plenty available on steam and elsewhere. I think there's less incentive nowadays to do the whole exclusivity thing for two reasons: people can see that people are still sticking with their usual platform (steam or PS) and are usually unwilling to switch over, and sales number wise Sony has easily won the console war. So waiting 10 years would be like another generation of console at the very least, they can spread the games on all platforms and make money from that (with a smaller cut because sony takes theirs on PS). After the 10 years, well, who knows

He's actually a great cleric and a great fighter, but yeah, he's not a great priest. When I initially started the kingdom management thing I just picked him because he had the highest attribute score at the time compared to the very important NPC candidate, but as time went on, that gap closed drastically. Now I'm stuck with him f*cking around with every problem and making me lose divinity, community, arcane, and stability scores from my kingdom left and right.

Nok-Nok. Is. Broken. In a hilariously good way, and with no exploits being used. He's a goblin rogue who specializes in close-quarters combat with dual-wielded kukris. He starts off being able to attack 4 times in a single attack round, which is already insane since by the time you reach him most of your characters are either still attacking once or just barely starting to attack twice, but then as soon as you find him some enchanted kukris (which don't even take that long to find since you will run into several in the main story quest after you recruit him), his damage output doubles. And then when you realize that he's a rogue that can do sneak attack damage depending on where his allies are positioned against an enemy, that damage output then almost doubles again. And then you realize that sneak attacks can also have critical strikes, almost doubling them again!
And, after some level-ups, you can increase his chances of landing a critical strike, and increase the damage that a critical strike does, AND you can upgrade him to have six strikes per attack!
This guy can literally dish out 350 damage in a single attack without critical hits, and probably up to 450 with critical hits.
I love this chaotic evil motherf`cker. And he's not even evil, he genuinely wants to do good and be a hero, he's just...a goblin, and he's kinda stupid. But, OH, so good at dishing out pain.
Watching a boss just crumple against this guy's awesome power is almost pitiable.

Kingdom Hearts is the type of franchise where if you didn't play that one mobile game before smartphones were a thing that is now completely unavailable or if you didn't play that one online game that shut down years ago then you're gonna be missing pieces of the plot which is nonsense anyways

He intentionally made this franchise more of a mess than it needed to be for no good reason
I don't think there's any sane person in this world who would think it's a good idea to shatter and divide your franchise across multiple exclusives on a bunch of different platforms and make all of those games plot relevant somehow

but I completely agree that if a franchise is defined by its narrative, and that's not a per-game narrative like Final Fantasy, than putting parts of the narrative on other consoles is a deeply flawed idea and KH mostly proves the point

If each KH was like FF the problem would've been mitigated entirely, the problem is that every single entry is meant to be connected and has actual plot relevant details
Anyone who didn't play CoM and went to KH2 would be extremely extremely confused, and that's exactly what happened
because people thought ''Oh CoM is just KH1 on the GBA, I played that game already, don't gotta play it again in a worse version''
