Great aesthetic
Very good and satisfying melee system
Very very poor and at times cringy writing (which is probably the worst thing for a Bioshock inspired game)
Enemies a bit too bullet spongy, even tho the powers and the guns all feel really good to play
The Open world mechanics seem to be poorly balanced.

That seems less like a Kojima moment to me and more like just an obvious connection between the literal parts of themselves they lost and the figurative parts of themselves they lost

Phantom pain being an actual medical term for people who lose limbs or had to be amputated and yet they can still feel it which connects with the pain from having lost everything they had built up for years and years on the first MSF Motherbase and now having to do it all over again and literally rebuild the base and figuratively rebuild themselves from that event

Kaz is probably the one most affected, Ocelot never really seemed that invested to me, Snake is pissed but in a more contained manner, Kaz is just extremely violent and lashes out at anything and anyone and lost his cool whereas in Peace Walker Kaz was the goofiest dude

It's sad, Kaz is probably one of the characters that gets shit on the most in all of MGS

Thankfully it's very easy these days. In Dolphin it's pretty much plug and play now, no config needed aside from just whatever control scheme you want.

And there's Prime Hack which is a fork of Dolphin with Prime Trilogy specific improvements baked into it. Even adding K&M support.

Also just "download the emulator, download the ROM, drag the ROM into the emulator, have fun" levels of easy

But if you have a Switch I would recommend Prime 1 Remastered for sure. Definitely the definitive experience.
Prime 2 and 3 I could recommend using Dolphin or Prime Hack if you don't have the GC or Wii versions available.
Or wait until 2 and 3 get re-released on Switch/Switch 2

So you can choose one of those mini-series.

Usually they have different protags in same world setting for the mini-series, but Ryza they actually kept the protag for all 3 games I think for the first time

when I played Deus Ex, I never bothered with heavy weapons because they took so much inventory space 😦

unless I find one on the ground, pick it up, use it against one enemy (to save ammo for my other weapons) then drop it

I stick to mostly pistols and snipers in general, sometimes assault rifles. They're nice in the newer Deus Ex games but the OG assault rifle feels pretty bad to use, with forced burst mode too

so I've been playing Tunic for ~2.5 hours now, and in addition to what you probably already know (Zelda but you're a cute fox in a voxel-y world, and part of progression is collecting pages of the game manual, half the UI is written in a made up language), I have a cursed thing to say about it

Tunic feels like Dark Souls, but for kids! (and I mean that in a good way)
