#Files names / Storage Template Question

Hey, I'm having an issue with my storage template in Immich.

My template is set to: {{y}}/{{MMMM}}/{{dd}}/

But the actual files end up named like this: 2026/January/10/+1.jpg

The folder structure is correct, but the filename itself is just +1.jpg instead of the original filename. Why is the filename not being preserved? Is this expected behavior or am I missing something in my template?

Some context: I recently had a database corruption issue and had to restore from a backup. I re-uploaded all my photos to the new instance using immich-cli, and my photos are stored in the library/admin folder.

  • Logs from all the containers and their status (see above).
  • All the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far.
  • Any recent changes you've made to Immich or your system.

  • Details about your storage (filesystems, type of disks, output of commands like fdisk -l and df -h).
  • The version of the Immich server, mobile app, and other relevant pieces.
