#iPhone crash because of full system cache

I have installed Immich version 2.7.5 on my iPhone running iOS 26.4.1, and the server is also running version 2.7.5.
I am trying to perform an initial backup of around 17,000 photos from iCloud to my Immich server.

I have now attempted this for the third time. Each time, once the progress reaches around 10,000 photos, the system cache suddenly increases by about 40 GB. After that, the iPhone crashes and restarts. I then have to manually restart it again, and the cache returns to a normal level.

However, as soon as I reopen the Immich app to continue the backup, it takes less than a minute for the system cache to grow by another 40 GB. Because of this, I am unable to complete the initial backup.

The same behavior occurs on my iPad.

Does anyone have a solution?
