#Discarded duplicates are reappearing after 24 hours.

Steps I Take:

  1. Use the "Remove Duplicates" tool.
  2. Select and discard duplicates → Process completes successfully.
  3. Permanently remove the discarded items from the bin.

The Problem:

  • The next day, the same photos are back in my library.
    - They reappear in the "Remove Duplicates" tool, but often in a different order/location.
  • It seems like a mobile sync might be re-uploading them.
  • If you look at the screenshot, the filename and the path don't match in the right-hand side image.

Question: Why is this happening, and how can I stop it?

Thanks in advance!

Mobile will always upload assets not found on the server. You have to delete them from your phone as well. If you are on Android, you might want to try the sync remote deletions option.

Thanks @cinder nova , yep, I'm using Android, is that option which is still experimental right? 🙂

Yes, still experimental. Deletions are always a bit risky, but maybe this is worth it? Unless you can manually clean up the affected images somehow.
