I was setting up Authelia on my server, and I have locked myself out, as the Immich server is clearly not setup correctly. I have the following error,

[Nest] 17 - 09/11/2025, 9:39:11 AM DEBUG [Api:GlobalExceptionFilter~96h5zttq] HttpException(500): {"message":"Error in OAuth discovery: TypeError: fetch failed","statusCode":500}

but would simply like to turn on regular authentication while I sort this out, is there a way to do that other than the WebUI, which I cannot access?

In order to be able to effectively help you, we need you to provide clear information to show what the problem is. The exact details needed vary per case, but here is a list of things to consider:

  • Your docker-compose.yml and .env files.
  • Logs from all the containers and their status (see above).
  • All the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far.
  • Any recent changes you've made to Immich or your system.
  • Details about your system (both software/OS and hardware).
  • Details about your storage (filesystems, type of disks, output of commands like fdisk -l and df -h).
  • The version of the Immich server, mobile app, and other relevant pieces.
  • Any other information that you think might be relevant.

Please paste files and logs with proper code formatting, and especially avoid blurry screenshots.

I am not on the latest release, obviously I cannot upgrade at this time.

Well you are the best! Thank you, I just had to enable password logins, I have no idea why I could not find that myself.

A suggestion, for those new to this, on the commands page, explain HOW to connect to the docker container, and issue those commands. It is simple for me these days, but I remember struggling with this long ago, as it is NOT intuitive for new users.
