I've had remote machine learning set up for a while and that was working file, I'm now trying to set up remote transcoding but I'm running into an issue where the docker service can't seem to find files

Here's the docker-compose.yml on the remote machine

name: immich_remote

services:
  immich-server:
    container_name: immich_server
    image: ghcr.io/immich-app/immich-server:${IMMICH_VERSION:-release}
    extends:
      file: hwaccel.transcoding.yml
      service: nvenc
    volumes:
      - ${UPLOAD_LOCATION}:/usr/src/app/upload
      - /etc/localtime:/etc/localtime:ro
    env_file:
      - .env

    restart: always
    healthcheck:
      disable: false

and the .env looks like this

DB_PASSWORD=mypassword
DB_USERNAME=myusername
DB_DATABASE_NAME=mydatabasename
DB_HOSTNAME=192.168.1.185
REDIS_HOSTNAME=192.168.1.185
IMMICH_WORKERS_INCLUDE=microservices
UPLOAD_LOCATION=E:/library
#

on the host UPLOAD_LOCATION is just ./library

#

I'm also not adding the port numbers to DB_HOSTNAME and REDIS_HOSTNAME, should i? they are the default port numbers anyway

#

Basically to do remote transcoding, the other instance needs access to the database, redis, and the file system where the files are actually stored

candid walrus
#

the ports are exposed for redis and postgres on the host

#

the file system is visible in the screenshot

#

does docker on windows need its own credentials to access a smb share?

mild spoke
#

I don't use windows so can't comment on how SMB works on it.

candid walrus

got it working by using nfs and setting the insecure option in /etc/exports
