#Reduce disk space usage

I am a single server user, after processing 30% of my photo-video archive, Immich used up about 10GB (all the space allocated for this), I (probably) don’t need 3 types of thumbnails and pre-recoded videos. Is it possible to minimize disk usage? I'm happy with the preview on the main feed and the original photo when opening it.

The transcodes are probably most of that. You can make it more space-efficient by going to the transcoding settings and using another codec like hevc or av1, adjusting the crf and changing the preset to a slower one

#

You can also disable it if you’d like, but note that videos a) might not load or b) take much longer to load

Thank for answer. Disable Transcoding, do you mean stop it in Job Status? or are there other ways?

You can disable it in the transcode policy section
