I replaced my .env file and my docker-compose.yml with the most recent ones from github. When trying to update immich, i get an error now. I don't have much experience with docker and I don't want mess around too much and lose my photo's.

uploading my .env and .yml isn't really relevent since they are an exact copy of github

If you added the name: immich line where you didn't have it before, try removing that again
