I'm from the UK so can give some insight there. from experience it depends on the city, Miss out the rural areas they're wierd as fuck. Cities like nottingham (My home city) are really queer and accepting. The problem is the Govt.

how much is the uk application cost? maybe you could try fundraising for it or looking to places like these to help?

p much what val said - don't go to a rural area, but any big city you'll be pretty much fine (especially if you spend most of your time in the city centre as opposed to suburbs etc)

obvs you can't avoid ppl giving you werid looks from time to time but in terms of finding a community & people you can spend time with, big cities in the UK are a great option
