I'm currently poking around with the network inspector in Firefox trying to see if anything like a Seed is transmitted to/from the generating server / client side, but haven't found anything yet. Has anyone else pre-empted me here and discovered anything about this?

Can anyone from the OpenAI staff comment?

there's no seed in the request, only prompt and batch size. I'm not sure why you'd want to change the seed anyway, you'll likely get the same results or detect if they've updated the model or augmented your input

Thanks for the response! I'm mostly interested in being able to fix the seed to run controlled experiments on the generation.
