Bug Report: Usage 100%, but also 0%
`Steps to Reproduce`

Ran out of usage on one account, switched to the other and it says 100% but when i try to prompt it says i need to wait for a reset 7 days away.

`Expected Result`

I should have usage left. The account should've reset today. Usage even says 100% available.

`Actual Result`

Wont let me prompt. says You've hit your usage limit. Add credits to continue, or try again at Aug 6, 2026, 10:09 PM. which is exactly 7 days from when the OTHER account hit its usage limit.

I had this same problem too.

Step-by-step to resolve it:

  • Log out of account A = 0%.
  • Restart Codex.
  • Log into account B = 100%.
  • Send a message in the same chat.

Possible issue: failure to update the token or session cache after switching accounts, causing Codex to temporarily continue using the previous account's limits.

Recommended solution:

  • Stop or wait for all active tasks to complete.
  • Log out of account A.
  • Close Codex completely.
  • Open Codex again.
  • Log in to account B.
  • Confirm that the correct account and available usage are displayed.
  • Starts a new task.
