Bug Report: Regression: ChatGPT desktop app should remain native on macOS
`Steps to Reproduce`
- Install the native app ("ChatGPT Classic") and new electron app ("ChatGPT") desktop apps for Mac.
- Compare the current desktop app with the previous native macOS version wrt file size (~168 MB vs ~1.6 GB), memory usage, cpu usage and performance.
`Expected Result`
The ChatGPT desktop app should remain a native Mac application while adding new features such as Codex.
Users should continue to benefit from native performance, lower memory usage (especially important in this day and age of surging memory prices), better responsiveness, and deeper macOS integration.
`Actual Result`
The desktop app has been replaced with an Electron-based application. While it adds Codex, it feels like a regression and an unforced error from OpenAI's side.
Compared to the previous native app, it no longer provides the same native macOS experience and loses one of the product's strongest differentiators.
This was THE key reason I preferred using ChatGPT desktop app over Claude desktop app.
