ETA: I think I goofed when I added "desktop app" to this. I don't have the dedicated app.
Enter a long conversation with ChatGPT, in a browser. I use Firefox. Page all the way down so you've seen every part, to make sure it's all been loaded.
Try to use ctrl-F to find strings in the conversation that are offscreen at distant locations.
Start editing a previously entered prompt. Start to make edits. Do not save or exit, leave the editing mode open. Page up a screen or two or more. Page back.
Every part of the conversation mainline should be ctrl-F searchable. Prompt editing should remain stable even if the user pages away temporarily.
Strings not near the current window are not findable with ctrl-F. Prompt editing closes when it's not in the window.
