Hello OpenAI team,
I would like to suggest a feature that could greatly improve the experience for users who work on large projects inside ChatGPT.
Currently, when exporting data, the system exports the entire account history. For users who have many long conversations, this can make the export process slow and heavy. In many cases, users only need to export one specific conversation related to a project.
A very helpful improvement would be the ability to select and export a specific chat instead of exporting all chats at once.
Example concept:
Export Data
☑ Chat: Children's Book Project
☐ Chat: Random Conversations
☐ Chat: Other Projects
Benefits of this feature:
Much faster export generation
Smaller file sizes
Less server load
Much better workflow for professional users working on projects such as books, programming, research, or design
Another helpful improvement would be exporting images from the selected chat in a separate folder, for example:

images/
image01.png
image02.png
This would make it much easier to use generated images in tools like Photoshop or other creative software.
Many users are now using ChatGPT as a professional tool for writing, design, and project development, so improving export control could significantly enhance productivity.
