You were charged, but your account still shows Free. Here are the official steps to fix it:

  1. Confirm you’re on the right account

    • Log out of ChatGPT everywhere.
    • Log back in at chatgpt.com using the same method you used to buy Plus (Google / Apple / Microsoft / email & password).
    • If you used “Sign in with Apple” and chose Hide My Email, make sure you sign in with that private relay email. [ChatGPT Plus]
  2. If you paid on iOS or Android

    • Open the ChatGPT app → Settings → tap Restore purchases to sync your subscription. [ChatGPT Plus]
  3. Check you don’t have a subscription on a different platform

    • If you subscribed via Apple or Google, billing is managed there; if you subscribed on the web, it’s managed on chatgpt.com. Having more than one subscription (web + mobile) can cause confusion. [Avoid double charges]
  4. If it still shows Free, contact support with proof of charge

    • While logged into the same account that was charged, go to the Help Center, open the chat widget (bottom‑right), and explain that you were charged but don’t have Plus. Include:
      • The email on the account
      • A copy of the receipt or the last 4 digits of the card that was charged
