You can create a custom GPT (a “GPT”) directly inside ChatGPT if you’re on a paid plan (Pro/Plus, Business, Enterprise, or Edu). Here’s the basic flow:

1. Open the GPT Builder

2. Use the “Create” tab (optional but easiest)

   • In the Create tab, chat with the GPT Builder and describe what you want, e.g. “Make a tutor that helps me learn Spanish” or “Make a bot that reviews my code.”

3. Configure details

   • Name & Description – how it appears in your list.
   • Instructions – what the GPT should do and avoid (its behavior).
   • Conversation starters – example prompts users can click.
   • Profile image – upload one or ask the builder to generate one.
   • Knowledge – upload files the GPT can reference (PDFs, docs, etc.).
   • Capabilities – toggle tools like:
     • Web browsing
     • Image generation
     • Code Interpreter & data analysis

4. Test your GPT

   • Click Publish.
   • Choose who can use it (options depend on your plan/workspace), such as:
     • Only you
     • People in your workspace
     • Anyone with a link
