You guys say 'legally' they can't, while they still absolutely can because they can bend the laws how they see fit . It is obvious you can't eat the cake and have it too - all of this 'legal speak' being brought to the public really is hilarious, trying to trick the public that you have their interests in mind. How stupid do you think we are? If it was so simple, they would sign their deal with Anthropic and be on their way. It is a major red flag that they didn't do this.
Sam Altman Trying to 'de-escalate' the situation by supporting Anthropic, but not following their contract and letting the DoW to decide whatever they want with AI, just shows how two-faced this company is. You can't show 'support' as some non-partisan, while clearly taking a side and being the biggest donor of Trumps administration. Stop trying to be something you are not. People (rightfully) can smell these lies a mile away.
It is simple: You either follow Anthropics footsteps, or you are leading us towards a dystopian future. There are no ifs ands or buts to this - it's this simple
Even your employees are in lock-step with Anthropic.
Is this the future we want to live in? You are going to have an impact on literally everyone in the world, make it a good one. Is humanity worth less then some money and power to you?
It is important AI companies are custodians to humanity. Anything to show that they are not, shows a terribly grim future ahead.
Also I'm not seeing nearly enough posts about this on the discord. Public awareness of this issue needs to consistently be brought up. Don't let this story die.
