Hi @quiet lintel. I'm kapa.ai, your friendly support bot. I will try to answer your question by searching through the knowledge base.

You can extend a video in Sora in two main ways, depending on which Sora experience you’re using.

1. Using the Sora Video Editor (sora.openai.com)

In the Sora Video Editor, you extend a clip by Re-cutting it into a new Storyboard and adjusting duration there:

  1. Open your generated video in the Sora Video Editor library.
  2. Click Re-cut – this opens the video in a new Storyboard. [Generating videos; Storyboard editor]
  3. In the Storyboard, add or adjust cards at later timestamps to continue the action, and set a longer duration at the bottom (up to 20 seconds in the editor). [Storyboard editor; Generating videos]

2. Using the Sora app / sora.com (consumer Sora)

Here you extend your story either by choosing a longer duration for a single clip or by stitching multiple clips:

  • Make a longer single clip

    • When creating a video, set Duration to 10 or 15 seconds (and up to 25 seconds on web with storyboard for Pro users). [Creating videos; Release notes]
  • Stitch clips into a longer video (up to 60s)

    1. Go to Drafts.
    2. Select the clips you want to combine.
    3. Tap Stitch, preview, then tap Stitch again to generate the combined video (up to 60 seconds total). [Stitch clips]

If you meant a different Sora surface (e.g., API vs. app vs. editor), let me know which one and I can narrow it further based on the docs.

Note: you can ask me a follow up question by @ mentioning me again :speech_balloon:
