RA: The Touch
A Myth-Tech Noir Thriller
Epic Fantasy / Speculative Noir
by Rai Pierre Soleil
The world did not collapse.
It was corrected—over and over—until the cost could no longer be hidden.
RA is an early participant in a system that learned how to survive by revision. From within a storm shaped by accumulated pressure—technological, political, human—he has spent centuries intervening before failure could be felt. Infrastructure held. Authority functioned. Life continued.
The system worked.
Then someone refused to cooperate.
A monk trained to observe systems without interfering crosses the line into action, triggering consequences that no model can absorb quietly. Power grids strain. Enforcement tightens. A city begins to pay in human terms for stability it once received for free.
Between them stands the lion—a stabilizing force built to hold drift, now asked to bear collapse.
As revisions escalate into violence and containment becomes selection, RA faces the final limit of control: whether to impose one last perfect solution—or step back and let the world stand without authorship.
RA: The Touch is a linear myth-tech noir novel about systems that function too well, the harm deferred by correction, and what happens when control finally hesitates. Blending grounded action with speculative infrastructure, it trades cosmic symbolism for consequence, ending without triumph, explanation, or reward.
What remains is not a solution.
It is survival—uneven, human, and unwitnessed.
