As a Plus subscriber, I pay primarily for a stable, predictable user experience.
For me and for many others, ChatGPT-4o is a key part of that reliability.
The issue is not innovation, but choice and trust.
When models are removed without a comparable alternative, it creates the feeling that established workflows can disappear at any moment, despite having a paid subscription.
Offering a Legacy model option (without updates or guarantees) would significantly improve user trust and make Plus more valuable by giving users agency.
A model being technically “better” only matters if it is also experienced as better by users.
