There’s no information in the provided knowledge sources about a new or upcoming “Sora image generator” beyond what already exists.

From the docs:

  • For images, OpenAI currently highlights GPT Image 1.5 and related image models, not a separate “Sora image” model. [Models overview]

Older help articles describe “creating images on Sora” for Sora 1 on web only, and explicitly say this does not apply to the Sora app or Sora 2 on web. [Creating images on Sora]

The knowledge sources do not mention any upcoming or “very soon” new Sora-branded image generator, so I can’t confirm that such a release is planned.
