My discussions of where I'm working with ChatGPT get hundreds of pages long when I'm copy-pasting them into LOffice, and the result with those long chats is that whenever I make a new post, my browser freezes for 5 minutes, with the streamed responses frozen-mid-sentence on the first or second sentence, before I'm actually getting the entire response.
What ChatGPT seriously needs is this thing long chats on other websites have, where the backlogs kinda get hidden behind a button of "Load older posts", in order not to seriously clog up browser cache/RAM. Of course, without ChatGPT forgetting that hidden stuff.
Maybe even make it a kind of rolling context window with a character limit, in case you're searching for stuff inside your discussions with ChatGPT and end up somewhere in the middle of a discussion, so it's gonna have "Load older posts" at the top and "Load newer posts" at the bottom. Where you can gradually increase the size of what you see by clicking on either of those two buttons again and again.
