Bug Report: ChatGPT web UI spams multiple “Thought for X seconds” lines during responses that use web
`Steps to Reproduce`
  1. Open ChatGPT web app (chatgpt.com) in Brave on Windows 11
  2. Send a prompt that triggers web search/browsing (example: “Search for recent papers about …”)
  3. While the response is being generated and the UI shows “Searching the web”, observe the status area below the assistant message
`Expected Result`

During generation (including web search), the UI should show one “Thinking / Thought for …” indicator that updates in place until the final answer is shown.

`Actual Result`

When web search is involved, the UI repeatedly adds many separate “Thought for …” lines one after another (instead of updating a single line).
Examples:

  • “Thought for 10s”
  • “Thought for 15s”
  • “Thought for 27s”
  • “Thought for a few seconds”
This continues until the final answer is returned.

Without web search, the UI behaves normally and shows only a single “Thought for …” indicator.

`Environment`

OS: Windows 11 (64-bit) - Browser: Brave 1.86.142 (Official Build) (64-bit) - Chromium: 144.0.7559.97 - Platform: ChatGPT Web App (chatgpt.com)
