How do I use o3 on the Plus plan?

On the Plus plan, you can use o3 directly in ChatGPT via the model picker, within its usage limits.

Where to find o3

• In ChatGPT (web or app), open a new chat.
• At the top of the page, open the model selector dropdown.
• Choose OpenAI o3 (and, if available on your account, o3‑pro or o4‑mini). [o3/o4 limits; Model selector]

If you don’t see o3 immediately, look under any “More models” / “Legacy models” or similar section in the picker; Plus users are allowed to select o3 when it’s available to them. [o3/o4 limits]

Usage limits on Plus

For ChatGPT Plus accounts:

• o3: 100 messages per week
• o4‑mini: 300 messages per day
• o4‑mini‑high: 100 messages per day [o3/o4 limits]

When you hit the o3 limit, you’ll see a pop‑up and won’t be able to select it again until your limit resets. Your weekly o3 limit resets 7 days after you send your first o3 message (e.g., start on Sept 12 → reset on Sept 19 at 00:00 UTC). [o3/o4 limits]
