I'm using GPT to help me cook with my inventory. I use the same chat throughout the month so it uses the same inventory and knows what remains.
The problem is it needs a sense of time to know if food is expired or not and what to use first to prevent waste.
I understand timestamps can take up tokens. I'd recommend making it a togglable feature per chat.

Why not just tell the model to time stamp it's responses? I just tried:

That's a good suggestion. Though If I were to choose, I'd probably want a chatbot with a sense of time embedded in its metadata at all times.
