You likely don’t see the recap (Your Year with ChatGPT) yet for one of these reasons:

Eligibility requirements not met
You must:
- Have Reference saved memories turned on
- Have Reference chat history turned on
- Meet a minimum conversation activity threshold
- Be on an eligible consumer plan (Free, Plus, Pro, or Go in India; not Team, Enterprise, or Education)
- Be in a supported country (US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or India for Go/Plus/Pro). [Year with ChatGPT FAQ]
Feature is still rolling out

Memory / history settings

To troubleshoot:

In Settings, confirm Memory, Reference saved memories, and Reference chat history are all on. [What is Memory]
Make sure you’re using a consumer Free/Plus/Pro (or Go in India) account.

If all of the above are true, it may simply not have rolled out to you yet.

You’re meeting some, but not all, of the current eligibility conditions.

From the official FAQ:

Your Year with ChatGPT is available to Free, Plus, and Pro users in US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and to Go, Plus, and Pro users in India. [Year with ChatGPT FAQ]
In India, only Go, Plus, and Pro consumer plans are listed as eligible; Free accounts in India are not currently included. [Year with ChatGPT FAQ]

So even with all the right memory and history settings enabled, a Free account in India will not see the recap at this time.
