To disable Developer Mode in ChatGPT, you turn off the same toggle you used to enable it:

  1. Open ChatGPT on the web.
  2. Go to Settings → Apps.
  3. Open Advanced settings.
  4. Turn Developer mode Off. [Dev mode guide]

If you don’t see Developer Mode, it may not be enabled for your account or your workspace admin may control access. In Business and Enterprise/Edu workspaces, admins/owners manage Developer Mode availability via Workspace settings → Permissions & Roles → Connected Data → Developer mode / Create custom MCP connectors.
