From ChatGPT-4 to ChatGPT-5.0, when I asked a question, ChatGPT would automatically include a follow-up prompt at the end of every reply asking what I wanted to do next.
For example, if I asked how to make bread, ChatGPT would give the answer and then end with a question like, “Would you like me to also tell you how to make cake?”
However, after ChatGPT-5.1 and ChatGPT-5.2, this feature is missing. The automatic follow-up UI text no longer appears, and the model does not ask a next question on its own.
Please bring back this automatic follow-up UI text feature in the newer models open ai

Just as an fyi: the ChatGPT follow up responses is quite a contentious topic. There are those who like it, such as yourself. But there are those who despise it and are very vocal about their hate towards it. It's probably why OpenAI is going back and forth on it.
