`Steps to Reproduce`
Open the ChatGPT macOS app on the latest macOS version.
Open an existing chat in a project or custom GPT.
Click the model selector at the top.
Choose a different model.
Instead of switching models in the same chat, the app launches a completely new chat window.
`Expected Result`
The selected model should replace the current model in the active chat, project, or GPT without starting a new conversation.
`Actual Result`
Choosing a different model forces the app to open a brand new chat, losing the context of the existing conversation.
