#Sora 2 limits

Hi @supple zinc. I'm kapa.ai, your friendly support bot. I will try to answer your question by searching through the knowledge base.
Yes, Sora 2 does have a daily cap on generating videos. Video creation in the Sora app uses a rolling 24-hour limit per account: each submitted request counts immediately, and there’s no midnight reset. You can submit again as soon as one of your recent submissions falls outside the last 24 hours. If you hit the cap, you’ll see an error like “You’ve already generated X videos in the last day” (i.e., in the last 24 hours). The specific contribution to the daily limit depends on video length:
- 10-second videos count as one video toward the daily limit.
- 15-second videos count as two videos.
- 25-second videos (available to Pro users with storyboards) count as four videos toward the daily limit.
You can set the duration when creating a video, and the app will track your usage accordingly. The exact number of videos allowed per day may depend on your account tier and current system policies, but the rolling 24-hour system is consistently enforced for all users Creating videos with Sora.
Note: you can ask me a follow up question by @ mentioning me again :speech_balloon:
