Bug Report: ChatGPT - Repeating itself and not following instructions
`Steps to Reproduce`

Assistance writing a story. Chat locks in context for plot. Says "say ready and I'll write" I responded ready. It repeats okay next message I will write. I say go ahead. Then again it says "right perfect next message we will write" this goes on for ages

`Expected Result`

It follows prompt first try and writes. Not creating unnecessary responses clogging the chat

Endless repeated responses before the actual response

ChatGPT cannot work asynchronously (in the background). It is hallucinating that it is working, in reality nothing is happening.

Your best bet is to roll back to the last message in which it actually did something useful (if it ever did), or start fresh.

And explicitly tell, what to do. I get this idiotic behaviour from time to time. Just command it more forcefully.
