Hi @open willow. I'm kapa.ai, your friendly support bot. I will try to answer your question by searching through the knowledge base.

I understand your frustration—access to Sora 2 is currently limited and the rollout is gradual. According to OpenAI, Sora 2 is available on the iOS app and sora.com, but access is being enabled slowly, starting with ChatGPT Pro users and expanding from there. You can request to be notified when you receive access, but at this stage, not everyone can use it immediately. This invite-only approach is designed to help OpenAI manage demand, ensure stability, and gather feedback as they scale up the service. The app is also only available in certain regions (U.S. and Canada at launch), with plans to expand later. Android support and broader international availability are not yet live, which can add to the sense of exclusivity and limited access.

Additionally, some features—like importing media or transforming full videos—are not available at launch, and there are usage limits and wait times, especially during peak hours. These constraints are in place to ensure a stable and equitable experience for all users as the technology and infrastructure mature. OpenAI acknowledges these limitations and is working to expand access and improve the user experience over time Getting started with the Sora app FAQ.

If you’re eligible (e.g., a ChatGPT Pro user in the U.S. or Canada), you should be able to access Sora 2 now or soon. Otherwise, you can sign up to be notified as access expands.
