#Sora Generation

Hi @vernal stratus. I'm kapa.ai, your friendly support bot. I will try to answer your question by searching through the knowledge base.
You’re seeing the message “you have reached the maximum of 30 videos per 24 hours, please try again later” because Sora enforces a rolling 24-hour limit on video creation. Each video you generate counts toward this limit, and there’s no reset at midnight. Instead, you’ll be able to submit a new video as soon as one of your previous submissions falls outside the last 24 hours.
To know when you can make more videos, simply wait until enough time has passed since your earliest video in the last 24 hours. Once that video is more than 24 hours old, you’ll be able to generate another one. If you hit the cap, you’ll see an error like the one you described, and you can try again later when your quota refreshes automatically on a rolling basis Creating videos with Sora.

@sudden peak I think a timer or a message that says we can make more videos again would be beneficial because there’s almost no way for us to remember when the last time a video was made
Let me check the knowledge base for you again. One moment! :books:
You’re absolutely right—a timer or a clear message indicating when you can generate more Sora videos would be very helpful. According to the current documentation, Sora uses a rolling 24-hour limit for video creation, and if you hit the cap, you’ll see an error message like “You’ve already generated X videos in the last day.” However, the knowledge sources do not mention any built-in timer or notification that tells you exactly when you can create your next video. Users currently have to keep track themselves or try again periodically Creating videos with Sora.
If you’d like to see this feature, you might consider submitting feedback through the app or OpenAI’s support channels, as user suggestions often help shape future improvements.
