Bug Report: ChatGPT No Longer Conducive to Long-Form Creative Process
`Steps to Reproduce`
  1. Create a Project for writing.
  2. Upload canon files (e.g. character sheets, maps).
  3. Reference them in chats.
  4. Try to replace/update one of those files.
  5. Notice you cannot delete or overwrite if a chat references it.
`Expected Result`

Projects labeled “Writing” should support evolving canon. I should be able to overwrite/update a referenced file (same ID), or version it, so chats always use the current draft instead of being frozen on outdated files.

`Actual Result`

Referenced files are frozen. There’s no overwrite or versioning. Any update forces me to abandon the project and re-upload everything into a new one. With file caps, this makes long-form creative writing projects impossible to continue.

Impact: As a novelist working across 192+ page drafts, I can no longer maintain continuity. The lack of overwrite/versioning makes ChatGPT unusable for ongoing creative work and has killed my ability to advance the project.

`Environment`

MacOS, ChatGPT Desktop, Chrome, Safari (all produce same result)
