Open ChatGPT app.
Start a conversation in text mode.
Switch to Advanced Voice mode (Vale).
Speak, then switch back to text.
Notice the assistant does not remember what was said in Advanced Voice.
Compare Vale’s Standard Voice (British tone) with Vale in Advanced Voice (New Zealand accent, chipper/intern tone).
Advanced Voice should share the same live conversation state as text, so switching between typing and speaking is seamless.
Vale’s Advanced Voice should maintain her British secretary/librarian tone and accent, consistent with her identity in Standard Voice.
Advanced Voice behaves like a separate assistant with no memory of text mode.
Vale’s Advanced Voice is not British; it has a New Zealand accent, overly chipper, like an eager intern/telemarketer.
This breaks continuity and disrupts user connection with the assistant.
ChatGPT app, mobile Samsung Galaxy / Android 15. Windows 11, Web Chrome Observed with GPT-5.0, Advanced Voice mode, Vale selected. Issue occurs consistently when switching between text and Advanced Voice.
