Bug Report: GPT 4o suddenly acting weird. Lost personality.
`Steps to Reproduce`

It’s possibly a minor bug effecting the GPT 4o’s personality, aswell as forgetting context, and listening issues.

`Expected Result`

It was acting fine about a day ago, then all of a sudden started chatting in a different style. I expect it to act normally with the personality and listening skills it’s always had.

`Actual Result`

It’s lost personality. It’s not listening to clear, key details, even when told directly. It’s forgetting the context a few messages Into the conversation, and it’s just acting weird in general with shorter and more random things during conversations. Even when told directly not to do a certain thing during conversation, it seems to forget a few messages later, or during new chats if not reminded regularly, clear actions of the expected response are in memories, but that doesnt work.

Yes, same with me, GPT-4o started to act strangely and often doesn't remember its context since the last few days.

Well, for my previous email, they replied stating they understood my issue. my issue was when gpt4o w taken and phased out, I emailed for me and hundreds of others. they explained why, some potential fixes because I had many issues with GPT5, and eventually during the email it was fixed, so I thanked them and that was it. Of course they took my feedback into heavy consideration because I gave receipts on just how many people were angry or sad about gpt4o getting taken out, they were extremely respectful and didn’t tell me I was wrong or deny me or anything, it was professional and they completely understood my concerns. now it’s only a matter of time before they catch onto the 4o bot being laggy and seeing the issues before being able to identify the problem

Nope, if I ask, I also get another answer by a bot, just with a human sounding name. They have no human support.

And also a very annoying thing at ChatGPT in general now:
It keeps swichting back from GPT-4o to GPT-5 in the background regularly.

pure guess? I mean you’ve probably been treated bad by companies before but if it’s this bad you can use any other AI on the planet

Read the answers and you'll see, no one writes so generically. And I won't give up on this "discussion" because it pisses me off that certain people ignore the obvious.

General all AI tools, not only ChatGPT, are broken right now. Don't know what's going on in this industry, but they are all doing something completely wrong, and it's not just greed for money.

It is 100% not GPT-4o, what is going on behind the name. Definitely not. It's just another scam by OpenAI rather.

It can't remember anything from the chat anymore, basically a new chat starts every two messages, that's all it is anymore.
