Bug Report: Bug: Missing Input Bar in ChatGPT Mac Desktop App (v1.2025.217)
`Steps to Reproduce`

Open ChatGPT Mac desktop app.

Start any chat.

Send the first message — the input bar disappears immediately after.

Temporary Fix Tried:

Reset ~/Library/Application Support/ChatGPT folder — worked briefly, but bug returned.

Full reinstall — no permanent fix.

Issue does not occur in browser or mobile versions.

`Expected Result`

After sending a message in the ChatGPT Mac desktop app, the input bar should remain visible and functional so I can continue typing and sending additional messages without restarting the app.

`Actual Result`

On macOS (ChatGPT app v1.2025.217, Plus plan), the input bar disappears immediately after sending the first message in any chat. The rest of the interface remains visible, but I cannot type or send new messages unless I quit and restart the app.

`Environment`

macOS: [insert your macOS version] ChatGPT Mac App: v1.2025.217 Plan: ChatGPT Plus

Mac Desktop App Bug: On macOS (ChatGPT app v1.2025.217, Plus plan), my input bar vanishes right after sending the first message, leaving me unable to type unless I restart the app. Resetting ~/Library/Application Support/ChatGPT fixed it temporarily; a reinstall didn’t help. Works fine in browser/mobile. Anyone else seeing this or know if a fix is coming?

It’s not missing. the window auto resizes which is a reported bug already. Just double click on top bar (where it says gpt5) or try to drag the edge to manually resize and it should pop back up
