Bug Report: File not found on GPT5-pro created file link

`Steps to Reproduce`

Ask ChatGPT to create you a file (e.g. an excel table), it will say the file is created and give you a link to download said file.

`Expected Result`

When you click on that blue link the file should download to your computer

`Actual Result`

It says "Download file" if you hover the mouse on the hyperlink, "Starting download" if you click on it but a red error appears at the top "File not found".

Asked GPT to create it again but still won't download even the second version.

Chrome 138, ChatGPT Mac App on 14.6.1 (23G93)

Same issue on 4o, trying to generate a .docx

I created a new conversation just to test it and in this case it worked and let me download both the file created with gpt-5-thinking and 5-pro.
Meanwhile in the original conversation where I had a medical xlsx file containing several tabs I had to switch to o3-pro and ask it to generate it again before I was able to download because 5-pro kept giving me a broken link

just chiming in as i was gonna make a post but it seems you guys but yea i am always getting file not found messages and constaly have to tell it to make a new one or just redo the whole chat

I’m getting file too large for anything over 1mb
