Bug Report: Massive Performance Issues
`Steps to Reproduce`

When using a chat for a long time, as how it usually is when you work on some code, it keeps the whole chatlog loaded which makes it very laggy, ressource intensive and take several minutes for responses to show up, effectively slowing down the progress. Please make it so that chats dont show / load the whole history. Best would be that it keeps a certain of messages loaded, and when you scroll up or down, it loads a new section and unloads the section you dont see.

`Expected Result`

The chat to work smoothly, not taking up too many ressources and responses to appear quickly.

`Actual Result`

The performance issues described above.

`Environment`

Windows 11 Pro, using both Opera GX and the ChatGPT App from the Microsoft Store. Intel Core i5 12400F, NVIDIA RTX 3090 24GB, 32GB DDR4 RAM

Responses basicly look like this for 10 or more minutes until the response finally loads in.

Also it does not respond to scrolling or clicking during this process.

In the browser, its exactly the same. Even when I use other tabs in the browser it laggs them out aswell, and when I close or reload the tab it takes a long time for the browser to respond as its so overloaded.

Moving to the ChatGPT App from the Microsoft Store makes the browser run smoothly again as it should be, tho that doesent solve the unbearable long response times in ChatGPT itself; not because of the API or overloading or GPT 5, but because of the whole chatlog being loaded and rendered in.
