Bug Report: canvas & chat issues in chatgpt5
`Steps to Reproduce`

Instead of responding to questions in the chat window, chatgpt keeps deleting the story text in the canvas and putting its answer there even when asked not to. When it reinstates the canvas text, it changes it each time or reverts to an earlier version that has already been revised

`Expected Result`

Previous versions of chatgpt only amended canvas text when asked to do so and answered questions in the chat,. This version seems to think that EVERYthing I say is a request to revise wording in the canvas as in, even a a general question or me saying I have already made changes to the canvas make it go and make its own unsolicited changes

`Actual Result`

Every single comment in the chat window is being interpreted as a request to change the canvas text or worse, it deletes the entire canvas text and says: "I won't reply in the canvas or delete the text anymore, I will reply in the chat" - not seeming to be aware that it has deleted everything

Here is an example of chatgpt not realising that it's deleted the canvas text again by replying in the canvas. When it 'restores' the text, it wont' be a restoration so much as a rewrite or a reversion to a superseded version

Here's another example of where I specifically said - please do not make any text changes, but reply in the chat window and then it deleted my entire canvas and wrote this

I thought I could fix it by saying

"This is just a question. please don't make any changes to the canvas but answer me in the chat window" but then as you can see above, it just deletes the canvas and puts its answer there. If I don't say - please don't update canvas, it will rewrite the canvas with what is actually very subpar writing because this version of chatgpt is not very good with creative writing.

I'm doing more of the writing with this version and just ask chatgpt to finesse or tidy wording, but it's overreaching and rewriting it badly
