Right after GPT-5 rolled out, I hit a strange bug.
After testing a few short prompts, I asked it to generate a 3D “Elvish forest.” It took a while, then threw an error. After a refresh, the page froze.
In a new chat, I couldn’t send any text — Send button was greyed out, said I’d hit the limit (I hadn’t). Voice chat still worked. Same issue on other devices.
Turns out: ending the Voice Chat session restored text input.
After submitting a prompt or refreshing the page, I should be able to continue chatting normally: sending text prompts without limitation
After generating a 3D scene, the web UI showed a red error and froze. On refreshing, the page became unresponsive. In a new chat, the Send button was greyed out and claimed I hit the message limit (which I hadn’t).
This persisted across devices, but once I ended the Voice Chat session, normal text input was restored.
Later, after trying again to fix the bug in the code, I got the error again. This time, ending Voice Chat didn’t help, I had to wait a long time for the counter to reset.
