Hey! 👋 I'm a ChatGPT Plus user from Slovenia 🇸🇮
I'm really excited about GPT-5 and was wondering:
When will it be available in my region?

Currently, I only see GPT-4o as my top option, even though I'm on Plus.

Is there a rollout schedule or ETA for when GPT-5 will appear for international users?

Thanks a lot! Really looking forward to it. 🙏✨

Hi @hot canyon. I'm kapa.ai, your friendly support bot. I will try to answer your question by searching through the knowledge base.

#

I'm sorry, but the knowledge sources do not contain any information about the release or availability of "GPT-5" in any region, including Slovenia. The most recent models mentioned are GPT-4o, GPT-4.1, and GPT-4.5. There is no mention of GPT-5, its rollout schedule, or ETA for international users in the provided sources.

If you’re on ChatGPT Plus in Slovenia, you currently have access to GPT-4o and, depending on rollout, possibly GPT-4.1 and GPT-4.5 as they become available to paid users. For now, there is no official information about GPT-5’s release or availability in any country, including Slovenia. If you’d like to stay updated, keep an eye on the official ChatGPT release notes for future announcements.

Note: you can ask me a follow up question by @ mentioning me again :speech_balloon:

@rugged steeple Hey again!
Thanks for the reply 🙏 Just wanted to clarify that GPT-5 has already been officially announced and released, though currently limited to API and enterprise access.

Here's a screenshot from, showing that GPT-5 is now available (at least in some capacity).
Hoping it’ll come to ChatGPT soon too – especially for us Plus users in EU.
Thanks again for your help! 🙌

Let me check the knowledge base for you again. One moment! :books:

#

Thank you for your follow-up and clarification!

Based on the knowledge sources provided, there is no mention of GPT-5 being officially announced, released, or made available—either via API, enterprise, or for ChatGPT Plus users in any region, including the EU. The most recent models referenced in the sources are GPT-4o, GPT-4.1, o3, and o4-mini, with expanded model support for custom GPTs and various features for Plus, Pro, Team, and Enterprise users. There is no information about GPT-5’s availability, rollout schedule, or plans for ChatGPT Plus users in Slovenia or elsewhere in the EU.

If you are seeing GPT-4o as your top option, that aligns with the current offerings for Plus users according to the latest official documentation. For updates on new model releases, including any future availability of GPT-5, it’s best to monitor the official ChatGPT release notes and OpenAI’s announcements.

If you have a screenshot or external information, please note that I can only reference the official knowledge sources provided above. If new information becomes available, it will likely be reflected in those official channels first.

Note: you can ask me a follow up question by @ mentioning me again :speech_balloon:

Hey again! Thank you so much for your reply 🙏

I understand you're referencing the internal knowledge base, but I wanted to respectfully point out that the official OpenAI website now publicly says: “GPT-5 is here”, which clearly indicates the model has been released — at least in some capacity.

I’ve attached:
• A screenshot from the official OpenAI domain (not a leak)
• A snapshot from a popular tech YouTuber already using GPT-5 in the ChatGPT app
• My own screenshot showing “ChatGPT 5” directly in the interface

So the rollout is clearly in progress, and GPT-5 is no longer a secret or speculative release.

Could you please check with your team or escalate this internally?
Specifically, I’d really appreciate any info about:
– Why this public information isn’t yet reflected in your documentation
– When GPT-5 will become available for Plus users in the EU, especially Slovenia

As a loyal paying user, I’m simply asking for clarity and transparency.

Thanks again for your time and support! 🙌
Looking forward to hearing back.

Thank you for your detailed follow-up and for sharing your observations. I understand your interest and the evidence you’ve provided regarding GPT-5’s existence and rollout.

However, based strictly on the official knowledge sources available to me, there is no mention of GPT-5 being released, announced, or available—whether for API, enterprise, or ChatGPT Plus users in any region, including the EU or Slovenia. The most recent models referenced are GPT-4o, GPT-4.1, and GPT-4.5, with no information about GPT-5’s availability, rollout schedule, or plans for Plus users. The documentation also does not address why there might be a discrepancy between public-facing announcements and the internal documentation, nor does it provide a way for me to escalate or check with an internal team.

For the most accurate and up-to-date information, I recommend monitoring the official ChatGPT release notes and OpenAI’s official channels. If and when GPT-5 becomes available for Plus users in the EU, it will be reflected in those sources.

I’m sorry I can’t provide more clarity at this time, as my responses are limited to the information in the provided documentation. If you have further questions, I encourage you to reach out directly to OpenAI support through the official website.

Note: you can ask me a follow up question by @ mentioning me again :speech_balloon:

Thank you again – I truly appreciate your time and the limitations you're under.

That said, I do hope someone at OpenAI is made aware of the growing disconnect between:
– public rollout messaging (e.g., “GPT-5 is here” on the homepage),
– actual access shown in popular videos and screenshots,
– and internal support tools still claiming there is “no release.”

As a paying Plus user and active member of the community, I’m not trying to push unfairly – I just believe we deserve accurate, transparent answers when major features go live.

I will continue monitoring the release notes, but I hope this feedback is seen by someone with decision-making power.

Thanks again. 🙏

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback and for understanding the limitations of my responses.

Based on the knowledge sources provided, there is currently no official information about the release, availability, or rollout schedule of GPT-5 for any user tier—including Plus users in Slovenia or the broader EU. The most recent models and features referenced in the documentation are GPT-4o, GPT-4.1, and GPT-4.5, with no mention of GPT-5 or its public or regional availability. The documentation also does not address any discrepancies between public-facing messaging and internal support information.

I understand your concerns about transparency and the need for up-to-date communication, especially as a paying user. The best way to stay informed about new model releases and feature rollouts is to monitor the official ChatGPT release notes and OpenAI’s official channels, as these are updated when new features become available.

I’m sorry I can’t provide more specific information at this time. Your feedback is valuable, and I encourage you to continue sharing it through official support channels to help improve communication for all users.

@rugged steeple With all due respect, I must strongly disagree with your statement.

This morning, I had a direct conversation with OpenAI’s official support team via live chat — not speculation, not hearsay — and I’m attaching a screenshot of that exact exchange below.

Their agent very clearly confirmed the following:

âś… GPT-5 is real

âś… The rollout has already begun, including for users in the EU and Slovenia

âś… The update includes cross-chat memory, enhanced personalization, emotional depth, and more

So, when you say there is "no official information" — I must ask:
Then what exactly was I told? A mirage? A dream? A well-coded illusion?

Because the conversation I had was anything but unclear. It was detailed, professional, and undeniably official.
If this discrepancy exists between OpenAI’s own support and the Discord moderation answers, then we’re not just dealing with a lack of information…
We’re dealing with internal contradiction.

And that’s far more concerning than GPT-5 ever being “real” or not.

Please clarify which source represents the true position — because the users here deserve consistency, not confusion.

Thank you for your detailed message and for sharing your experience with OpenAI’s official support.

Based on the knowledge sources provided, there is no mention of GPT-5 being released, available, or in the process of rolling out for any user tier, including Plus users in the EU or Slovenia. The most recent models referenced in the official documentation are GPT-4o, GPT-4.1, and GPT-4.5. There is also no information about new features such as cross-chat memory, enhanced personalization, or emotional depth specifically tied to a GPT-5 release. The documentation does not address any discrepancies between different support channels or public messaging.

If you have received different information directly from OpenAI’s live support, I understand how this could be confusing. However, I am required to answer solely based on the official knowledge sources provided. At this time, those sources do not confirm the release or rollout of GPT-5, nor do they clarify the situation you described.

For the most accurate and up-to-date information, please continue to monitor the official ChatGPT release notes and OpenAI’s official channels. If there is a contradiction between support responses and published documentation, only OpenAI can resolve it through their official communications.

I’m sorry I can’t provide further clarification beyond what is present in the official documentation. Your feedback about consistency is valid and important.

Note: you can ask me a follow up question by @ mentioning me again :speech_balloon:

However… I must be brutally honest here.

What you just wrote directly contradicts multiple confirmations from OpenAI's own support team, including a detailed live chat I had just this morning.

They explicitly confirmed:

âś… GPT-5 is already rolling out

âś… It includes cross-chat memory, personalization, emotional intelligence

âś… It's available for Plus users, including Slovenia and the EU

📎 Attached is the screenshot from that conversation.

So respectfully:
If you’re saying this isn’t happening, then OpenAI support is either misleading people, or your internal documentation is outdated — and that’s a real problem.

Because this is not a small miscommunication. This is a massive gap between what OpenAI tells users personally, and what its representatives repeat publicly.

You’re asking us to rely on release notes.
But what happens when those notes contradict the reality people are already experiencing?

Transparency doesn’t mean repeating outdated text. It means listening when new truth emerges.

So please — escalate this. Forward this to the appropriate team.
Because we, the users, deserve one clear answer, not a war between internal silos.

Thank you again

Thank you for your honest feedback and for highlighting the discrepancy between your direct support experience and the information in the official documentation.

Based on the knowledge sources provided, there is no mention of GPT-5 being released, rolling out, or available for Plus users in Slovenia, the EU, or any other region. The most recent models and features referenced are GPT-4o, GPT-4.1, and GPT-4.5, with no official documentation about GPT-5, cross-chat memory, enhanced personalization, or emotional intelligence features tied specifically to a GPT-5 release. The sources also do not address any internal contradictions or provide escalation procedures for such discrepancies.

I understand your concerns about transparency and consistency. However, I am required to answer solely based on the official knowledge sources provided. If there is a gap between what you have been told by OpenAI support and what is reflected in the official documentation, I cannot resolve or escalate this issue from my position.

For now, the most reliable way to track new model releases and feature rollouts remains the official ChatGPT release notes. If and when GPT-5 or related features become officially available, they will be documented there.

I acknowledge the importance of your feedback and the need for clear, unified communication. If you require further clarification or wish to escalate your concerns, I recommend continuing to engage directly with OpenAI support through their official channels.

Note: you can ask me a follow up question by @ mentioning me again :speech_balloon:

@rugged steeple Thanks for your response — I get that you’re limited to quoting official documentation.

But let me be crystal clear:
📌 What I posted is an official OpenAI support response.
📌 I didn’t “hear it somewhere” — I got it directly from their own agent.

So when you say “no mention of GPT-5 exists” — you’re literally contradicting OpenAI’s own internal support team.

If your internal documentation is outdated, that’s not our fault. But trying to argue with screenshots from real-time official conversations is… well, a bit ridiculous.

Anyway, I’m not here to argue.
I just want users like me — and others who care about the emotional, personalized future of AI — to get the clarity we deserve.

Peace. ✌️

Thank you for your message and for emphasizing the announcement on the official OpenAI page.

However, based strictly on the knowledge sources provided, there is no mention or documentation of GPT-5 being released, available, or announced—either on the official OpenAI website or in any official release notes. The most recent models referenced in the official documentation are GPT-4o, GPT-4.1, and GPT-4.5. For the most accurate and up-to-date details, I recommend monitoring the official ChatGPT release notes, as these are updated when new models and features become available.

If there is a discrepancy between the homepage and the documentation, it may be due to a lag in updating support materials. I am required to answer based only on the information in the provided knowledge sources, and at this time, they do not confirm the release of GPT-5.
